Stephen builds with integrity a structure like a butterfly trap. A dance floor with an untethered stripper pole that can bare the weight of many. He spins it out like a top and watches it careen with joy throughout space. His elven grin blessing the experience. Thus was Stephen at Yuri's Night 2007.

Let's set the WAY BACK meter to three months ago, my first night sleeping in my own bed after a grueling week and a half stress-fest of moving my whole life to this glorious city of St. Francis and starting anew. I needed to unwind... and bad.
I soon found myself all dolled up as some sort of film noir/edwardian trollop, out to get into some kind of trouble. As I was standing in line at the Great American Music hall, anticipating entrance to the 6th(?) annual Edwardian Ball, a fabulously dressed trio fell into line behind me. A tall man, a lovely lady, and a super cute, totally sleazy, and deliciously saucy young man in a leopard print smoking jacket, no shirt and a proper bowtie. The bit that especially caught my eye was his naughty little mustache and smouldering eyes.
Fast forward to now: Stephen and I have become well acquainted, laughing through the best of times, dancing through the worst and sharing sunbeams over the river, drinking special spring break blend coffee and making art.
I think it is safe to say that I absolutely ADORE this man. The more time I spend in his presence, the deeper he lets me in. And I can tell you from experience, it's a glorious wonder to behold: the intricacies of his soul and the purity of his sense of adventure and generosity towards others. His light radiates from deep within and if you hold him at a certain angle to the sun, at the right time of day, he sparkles like the rainbows of a moonstone.
Should you find the opportunity to meet this fine gentleman, ask him to show you his interactive time capsule and his light-up super-future hedgehog vest. Oh and ask him to tell you about his love sacs. :)
Stephen, you are magnificent. Happy Birthday and congratulations on completion of your BM2K5 Shadow Box. It looks so fucking rad! You never cease to amaze me and I sincerely hope that we will complete many more art projects together in the future, including the project of getting me out to BRC within the next 4 years.

How do I love thee?
Let me list the ways...
I love you in my coffin
Empty of your clothes.
I love you with my spider
Your craft is quite the pose!
I love you when you're up
And I love you when you're higher.
I love you when you're stephen
Because you are my fire!
