I consider myself a neo primitive, I've been body piercing since I was 16. With relentless exploration of the art of Body Modification, I believe I've made my mark - often on my own body, and with Frankensteinian gusto. My Body Modifications have opened countless doors to endless self expression, and for almost a decade, flesh and fashion have been my own personal playground. But for me, the beauty of Body Modification is more than superficial, there's a rebelliousness in it because it comes at the expense of public ideals of beauty. People who are getting pierced are following their personal aesthetics, and not popular ones. I am a practitioner of multiple areas of Body Modification, that include Body Piercing (freehand & conventional), Surface to Surface Piercing (punch & taper), Stretching, Pocketing (dermal anchoring & staples), Dermal Punching, Scarification via (single line cutting & removals), Branding, Dermal Implantation, Flesh Pulls and Body Suspensions. While working on a foundation of the highest standards, I hold my excellent work ethic to be self evident. My passion for Body Modification stemmed from recognizing that our industry grew out of the rituals and customs of many traditional cultures. It can draw us to a more acute awareness of our bodies, how they react and regenerate, and the role of our minds and environments in our healing. I quickly found myself dedicated to the cultivation, preservation, and integration of community, through an emerging Body Modification culture. In an era based upon independence, intolerance, and division, the human heart is awakening to a modern vision of community through a new depth of interpersonal relationship. I feel that when people come together with a common intention, and with openness, a support system is created in which anything is possible. Body Modification is based upon a devotion to cultivating self-awareness. Through the practice of physically changing ones self, they dynamically engage like minded people in a growth process, challenging the borders of ego, and celebrating that which connects us all. In order to transform society, we must first transform ourselves. I try to grant my clients the opportunity for self discovery, radically supported in an evolving new dimension of community, art, and fashion.
