What I’m doing now:
As for what I’m up to now and in the future...ever since I got back from BRC the first time I have been bursting at the seams with creative energy. I started to paint again and I can’t tell you how good it feels to have a brush in my hand and not feel intimidated by the oils on my pallet! I’m also still writing like crazy, have a wonderful new place with 1.5 acres called the Storm Shelter where I host events, am a Regional Contact for BM, organize the Florida Regional Burn called PreHeat, and founded the non-profit organization Burnt Oranges... I have never been happier!!!

Things I’ve done:
Completed and self-published my novel Gaia’s Revolt: The Day Tomorrow Never Came. Most of the true writing was done over a 1 1/2 year period after I found my wonderful artistic burner family. It's amazing how the soul absorbs energy from those around it and the effect that has on your life, both good and bad, depending on the types you are absorbing from. My friends are such spectacular souls and artists and I fed from their energy much like a plant feeds off the sunlight, so I'd like to thank them for their contribution to Gaia's Revolt because they are as much a part of the book as I am.
Other stuff…skydived (jumped from a 727 jet, helicopter, CASA)…straightened my own leg after a broken femur…survived a crash with a semi on the interstate…

How I got this way:
I come from a well educated family filled with authors, educators, and artists. From my mother, an artist who colorized black and white photographic portraits, I received the gifts of the eyes, hands, and heart of an artist. From my father, a college professor and textbook author, I received the powers of a strong intellect and reason. I have a degree in accounting and another in law, but I'm more likely to be found at a hardware store than a courtroom. I have long felt that the purpose of this lifetime seems to be to find a balance between the strong callings of my creative heart and my rational intellect, but it took me thirty-six years to grow into the confidence and find the friends that gave me the courage to finally follow the call of my creative side...
