Tracey rocks!

I think she might be the only person in the whole history of the world who ever took a bunny to the beach and walked it around on a leash.

Aside from that, Pyrokitten is solid gold. I feel deeply lucky to have her as a friend, and so should you.

Through everything I have gone through and every sandstorm I have endured, for many years, it's been Tracey. She has been my lighthouse, my rock, my monument of sanity. Tracey is the one person that has always been there for me, listened to me, and cared about me. Tracey will tell me when I am wrong, tell me when I need to do something, and be there for me if I call. She is a nexus of social connections. Who DOESN'T know Tracey? Throw a rock at a party in SF and you will hit a few people who do, I guarantee it. If her life was made into a movie Parker Posey would star. She would have too. Who else could pull it off? But, no matter how many ways she is pulled and distracted, Tracey has a realness about her that transcends all that. When she talks to you, it's a deep conversation and a deep connection. She makes you feel important and special. And can talk away the blues like few people I know. I love this girl so much. She is my rock, my mountain, my enduring friend amidst the chaos.

Aside from being so damn cute & adorable, Tracey has guts: guts enough to wear her heart on her sleeve; guts enough to maintain a childlike naivete despite her worldliness and wisdom.

My memories of Pyrokitten -
* Building a 30' goat in a desert junk yard & then hitting a ditch going 70MPH across open playa - July, 2002
* Happily finding her at a party of straight men in drag, then wandering in the dark for hours together along with Dan who was dressed like a school girl - pre-Burn, 2003
* Watching her hold court with 5 or 6 boys under my pool table all night - Jan, 2004
* Drunkenly making out with her at 5am in Sparkies after picking her up from Headless point - early, 2004
* Giving lapdances at Mighty together on Sadie's request - early 2004
* Vacuuming marabou feathers up all over the house after she borrowed my boa never managed to leave the couch with it - Jan 2005
* Unchaining her from a table with the words "No Spanking" written in Sharpee across her ass - last night

It's hard to be bored with Tracey. I love this woman more than she knows!!!

Tracey has a delightful way with people that makes them feel relaxed and included, and this is one of her many qualities that I admire. She also has a great love of nature and the earth, and spends a lot of time exploring the wonder of the land. And she's a talented, creative soul... as a DJ, her artful presentation of dreamy shoegaze is perfect for chilling out. More importantly, she's an amazing nature photographer. She's a good kitty, without question. I knew she was brilliant from her posts in Girls Who Intimidate Boys. Her pictures showed her to be beautiful and adventurous. Her interests and favorites clearly indicated good taste and a flair for the unusual. Then I got the privilege of spending a lot of time with her. The word that immediately springs to mind is "fireworks"!

There was one sunny morning not too long ago where I woke up in Pacifica, under a pool table, with my head resting on Ms. Kitten's stomach. Believe you me, I've woken up in much worse places.
