I own Qamar's Treasures, a primarily web based business specializing in Bellydance costuming accessories. I design and make Sleevie Wonders, which are beautiful flowing arm gauntlets, available in an ever changing array of colours. Additionally, I am an authorized distributor of Eye Kandy Cosmetic glitter, and sell hip scarves, bindis and ethnic jewelry. My Business profile is located here:

I have an overdeveloped sense of humour and a penchant for obscenely bright colour combinations, manifested both in dance attire and in outrageous scrubs for work.

The last couple of months have been hectic. As many of you know, I've been trying to get my next travel contract and have been working per diem in the interim. At times, this meant being on call 24/7 to try and get enough shifts to pay the basic bills. The last two months though, I have been fortunate enough to get regular work in endoscopy, aka Butts-N-Guts. I bought an 05 Saturn Ion from the Saturn dealership and put 6k down on it. Its a 10k car with all the finance charges added in. When I bought it, they had to do some minor work so I couldn't take delivery for a week even though I was paying for the car and had signed the paperwork on it. Well, the day after I took delivery the car decided to leave us stranded. ... read more 
We are making far better time as a team than I ever would have alone. Our first night on the road we spent in Albuquerque, New Mexico where we got together with one of our Tribe friends and had a lovely evening. This morning we had breakfast at Marisco's then hit the road for lunch in Fort Sumner, New Mexico with my ex. Well, the car is loaded up except for the computers and a few small items that are piled together with our clothes. Les is sleeping and I'm staying up so that I can sleep in the car and be awake in the morning to take my turn driving as well as appreciate the scenery of New Mexico.

She's not only a sweet, funny person... well she goes for nursing jokes anyway....but talented too!.... I am the proud owner of a Qamar Original. She very generously shared her talent with me to keep me from belly dance nakedness. My Qamar Original is a very beautiful Thobe, which I have to watch at class, cause Maiya is trying to figure a way to steal it. Thanks again, and I hope to see many other Originals in the future.
