about me
hmmmm well I was born in San Francisco but moved when I was 2 to London. After a short spell in pre school my familily relocated to the west country ending up after a few stops in the picturesque village of Colerne just outside Bath. As soon as I finnished my GCSE's I decided to get my ass out of Bath and go and continue my studies in London (Colerne is way to small to even consider an existence unless you dig erm...hay and er inbreeding). London was obvioulsy the place for me especially as I was hitching down every other week to attend concerts, oh and the night clubs actually played music!?!?!?.

I am a guitarist and have been playing for 10 years now. I play many styles though my prefered style is Metal/Stoner Rock with a wiff of whatever I am listening to at the time. I have had the pleasure of seeing all my fave bands live, usually multiple times and if im lucky those cool intamate gigs like Sepultura at The Underworld, Killswitch Engage at the Barfly or Queens of the Stone Age on their 1st tour in a pub in Bristol to name a few. I am renound for blagging my way in for free and attaining guest list passes, rider contents or just the company of some of my most respected musicians. My high point so far would be hanging out with Pantera twice on their last tour including the Brixton show where I recieved 10 backstage passes (which was lucky because I had 9 of my friends with me) and all because I helped a rodey find a boxing magazine in WHSmith in Wolverhamton, heh. That was in 2001 and it all feel's downhill since then (I peaked to soon!). Music is unquestionably my life and so I make sure that my quality of life is good ;) I avoid shitty bands and Dj's with little respect for their fans wether it be verbal or just lack lustre releases.

So after much deliberation on my future I decided to study music instead of the usual courses as anything else just didnt feel right. And so I attended music college in Wapping, London which was a great experience as I got to leave behind my hometown of Bath (The Graveyard of Ambition) but more importantly jam with some of the most interesting musicians from around the world. I have been in bands in the past but never found the right people to take it to the next level and so I still continue to find the right peeps with a good mix of talent, spontineity and a level headed personality.

Recently I have been getting more into Psytrance DJing, as I finally got a laptop and so can practice where ever I am (which is nice as I can only afford guitar and amp not decks and speakers). And so now I have 2 musical outlets in which to rip shit up. Asides from that I am stongly motivated by a lot of the injustice that occurs in the world thanks to corporations and governments greed. I spend quite a lot of time researching the backgrounds to these cases in order to gain some understanding of why these things happen. Then through this knowledge I can consider just what it would take to bring and end to such a situation and who best to impement such actions. I believe in direct action, allthough I am only currently involved in the non violent form. All the info is out there for you to find, you just gotta want to find it. As a member of a first world country I feel compelled to take advantage of my situation and use it to help others who do not have access to such means. I wish to channel as much profit from my musical ability into funds that will help those who need it, and not just the latest 1 issue plea. So basically I like to protest and party hard, but Preferably both if I can combine the two. This is purely because I enjoy MY life and so cannnot help but celebrate and have a good time whilst allways keeping tabs on world issues and ways in which I can help.

So most weekends I can be found at psy parties absolutly 'avin it, in the company of some of the most open and interesting party motherfuckers I could hope to meet! The only thing that can top that however are outdoor parties and festivals. So here are some great Vids and pictures from the Soulclipse Psytrance Festival in Turkey I went to recently. It was Phat and off the hook (more to the point I dont think there was ever a wall for the hook in the first place). I think because of a slight lack in organisation, the party took on another vibe that could not have been attained any other way Around 8000 people and a smattering of security meant that we were left to create and enjoy a shared exerience including the eclipse itself that I will never forget. It had 24 hour music with the best Psy, prog and Chill out DJs, plus live acts for 7 days. I couldnt bring myself to returm home after this so I tore up my return flight ticket and carried on to the 4 day after party of which one was held on a lama and ostrich petting zoo type thing, was gurt lush as we say in the west country... mmmmmmmmmmmm. The main stage collapsed under a crazy hail storm on the first day. This was even before the music had begun, but it didnt matter as we had all allready had a bad ass day running about on our various trips meeting new peeps from around the world in the most beautiful location I could have hoped for (and we got a bad ass rainbow after the storm) The stage got rebuilt in like 2 days whilst all the full on and prog DJs played one stage which ment I didnt miss a thing AND we were all together as one.
