I'm one of those people that seems to be into everything. I play the dumbek (an arabic hand drum), sing barbershop, tell stories, play the Jew's Harp, write Access databases because I like it, & volunteer so much that my wife accuses me of being a stranger sometimes.

I have two major hobbies: The Society for Creative Anachronism (a middle ages reenactment group) and the Barbershop Harmony Society formerly known as The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. I am currently the Webmaster & Tenor Section Leader for the Norfolk, VA chapter of the Barbershop Society which is home to the Commodore Chorus. In the SCA I have been a local chronicler (newsletter editor), a Kingdom Chronicler (5 state regional newsletter editor), the one and only Vice President for Communications at the national level, and the local exchequer (treasurer).

I am currently involved with two performing groups. I play my dumbek in a drum troupe called Mystic Fire and I sing tenor with the Commodore Chorus, the 2006 Mid-Atlantic District Southern Division Intermediate Chorus Champions! I am an inaugural member of the Atlantic Harmony Brigade which held their first rally in Wilmington, DE in August, 2006. It was a blast! I had such a good time that I applied to join the North Carolina Harmony Brigade and attended my first rally in January 2007.

Those who know me well would probably complain that I haven't yet mentioned that I'm a bit of a flirt. In the SCA I have been accused of having a bit of a reputation, most of which is probably true. I tend to kiss the hands of pretty ladies that let me and will hug just about anyone ... especially the ladies! Fortunately I have a patient and understanding wife! I love singing, drumming, and cleavage and not necessarily in that order.
