My Testimonials

When I think of Rafe Eric...
I think of openness, caring, and, deep listening. I think of the Dance where we Met, I think of eating by the swimming pool in Emeryville, driving in the dark, wet night to LA, a dip in the jacuzzi in Encinitas. I think of a lavender scarf, a big bowl of rum punch with two huge straws, head massage, whole foods take out. I think of hope, of stem cells, of blessings. I think of the sweetness of his smile and the sound when he laughs. I think of the perfect blend of masculine and feminine; I think of a Being who is Present and sensual. I think of beautiful, deep blue eyes and soft lips, I think of a split second and the meaning of life. I think of Indiana, India and Indie films. I think of him singing w/ Asha Bosley and Michael Stipe dreaming one for you and one for me. I think of Somatics, Strozzi and the Forum. I think of Frank, Kevan, Coco, Manny, Katya, Michael, Monique, Tara and Charna...just to name a few. I think of strength, heart, and discipline. I think of Sarah and what's better than ice cream, Ms. Spektor and him being a dear, dear friend with a little bag of naughty. When I think of Rafe Eric, I feel love.

Wild Geese by Mary Oliver (blog entry) You do not have to be good.

You only have to let the soft animal of your body

My Blog

On Tuesday of this week I awoke to the sound of my best friend Frank sobbing by my bed. He informed me that his 21 year old niece in Oakland had been shot in the head that night while she lie sleeping in her bed by a stray bullet from a drive by shooting. When the police came to their house and asked her mother if she heard any shots she said no. As they entered her daughter's room she found her daughter bleeding from the head while her sister lay sound asleep next her her in the same bed... read more

Ni Hao Everyone!

I made it back safely from China last Wednesday and am currently chilling in the Bay Area until Saturday. I decided to spend some time recovering from jet lag by soaking at Harbin Hot Springs and receiving some much needed bodywork. It has been quite the journey! I apologize for not being able to send regular updates because as I discovered the Internet in China is heavily monitored and censored by the Chinese government making it very difficult to access the web and ema... read more

Well it is official, I am headed off to Shenyang, China on May 4 - June 6 for my stem cell treatment. I want to thank everyone who helped me make this dream a reality. Special thanks to those who were able to contribute your frequent flyer miles and financial donations. I am very happy to say that I will be able to fly business class which should make the long trip a bit more comfortable.

I am setting up a blog so that you can hear about my progress: www.stemcellchina.com/blogs/r... read more

Dear Friends,

It has now been two years since my life transformed from my fall into Grace on that auspicious night in Dharmsala, India April 23, 2004. So much change and movement has occurred and I still continue to live in the unknown. On May 10, 2004 I flew halfway around the world on a small stretcher to Indianapolis to begin my physical rehabilitation and be close to family. After Four Months of Being the Hospital in Almost Dying from Infections, I Came Back into the Real World in a... read more
