I have known Raina for 10 years now and she is probably one of the best friends I have...and when I say "friend" I mean it in the truest sense. I consider us true sisters and in many ways I am closer to her than I am to my own family. Her word and her heart is true. She is a beautiful wonderful person and I consider myself one of the lucky people to have loved her.

Raina is the most centered loving being that I've ever known. She is beautiful, talented and smart as a whip. Everyone who meets her knows that she is something special. She is truly a gift to the world.
I like her so much I married her.

about me
I'm a dirt lov'in tree hugger. An artist and a witch. I work in the healing arts. I live passionately but I tend to be a little too serious. I'm working on my giggle.

Often when I begin a painting I have no idea where it will end up. This is a part of a painting I began last year about this time. During the time I was on disability, I was able to finish it. One day as I was working on it, I saw that I was danci...

Good to be Home
(blog entry)
It's been a while since I've been on tribe. Not that I'm a prolific poster, I'm more of a lurker. But some of you may have noticed my lack of any response since Winter Solstice.
Unfortunatly, I've been extremely sick to the extent of being in the...

Moving on
(blog entry)
I am moving out of a home I have lived in for eight years. It's a funky old house with unleveled floors and low ceilings.
The house is in a grove of mature oak trees, an amazing and magickal place. I've grown and been nurtured here.
My husband a...

Often when I begin a painting I have no idea where it will end up. This is a part of a painting I began last year about this time. During the time I was on disability, I was able to finish it. One day as I was working on it, I saw that I was dancing with death. I had to laugh. There it was, right in my face. When I began this painting I was in the midst of a forest of emotional turmoil. The painting is done and again I see that I use art to process my life work. I love this painting. The imag...

Unfortunatly, I've been extremely sick to the extent of being in the hospital for a couple of weeks. It's good to be home and I'm healing slowly.
I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I see this as an opprotunity for greater healing in all levels of my life. I'm on a strict diet and am happy to make the changes nee...

My husband and I searched for two years for our new home. During that time I would feel completely blocked or held here. I've experienced extreme frustration knowing it was time to leave but not knowing where to go. Feeling stuck but a the same time not wanting ...

Somm V Carman was born August 23, 1966. The year of the fire horse, an auspicious year. I was the youngest in our family until he was born. My Mom was forty-two, kind of old back then to be having another bab...
