Mark - stabbed to death.  ...but world consciousness is just so...so...cool. Get real, people. Stop trying so hard. Namaste, my ass.  My mother passed away on Sunday. We were not close, and I'm not sure what I'm feeling at the moment. That's not entirely true; I know that I feel a great deal of aggravation as a result of my family's meddling ways. It doesn't matter what is going on; my cousins try to move in and take over. I've put up with it for 43 years, and now I'm digging my heels in. Anyways, I don't really know what to say about all this. 
I'm thinking of Jose today. I think of Jose almost every day. He was found dead the day after Valentine's Day, 2008. He was a good man and a good friend who gave in to his demon, heroin. I'd like to get my hands on whoever left him there to die.

I'm looking forward to a rewarding summer. I'm going to send my transcripts off to Indiana University, and hopefully they will agree that I am ready to finish my B.A. within the next couple semesters, right about the time I'll be getting my Alcohol & Drug Counseling certificate from SBCC. I'm amazed at the technological wonders that we are surrounded with; things that will enable me to receive my degree from a 'Big 10' school without getting my duff up off the couch (so to speak).
