about me
I'm half Indian and half White -- I tan, but I can get bad sunburns pretty easily too. So to deal with that, the sunburn issue, I tend to wear one of those silly-looking Tilley hats when I'm outside and don't feel like using the sunscreen.

What else... I was almost born on an airplane while my Mom was flying back from studying Urdu in Pakistan.

Oh, another thing: people I've never met before are always telling me that I look familiar to them. What do you think?

I play a few boardgames. If you want to beat me at Scrabble, make sure to limit my turns to, like, a minute each. To beat me at Scrabulous (or whatever online incarnation of Scrabble happens to be currently popular), cut me off at like, I dunno, 3 days.

Takin' Care of Business (blog entry) FYI:

For the next few weeks I won't be here much and will be pretty bad about responding to messages. I'm buckling down to get a project done. Thanks for your understanding!

Do you agree with George? (blog entry) Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

Whole Foods Market Berkeley
( local favorites » other ) "go to The Berkeley Bowl instead" "Whole Foods" didn't earn the nickname "Whole Paycheck" for nothing. If you're willing to part with the fairly upscale atmosphere of Whole Foods, then head down the street to The Berkeley Bowl for stuff that's basically the same, but cheaper. Yo... read more

The Albatross
( local favorites » bars / clubs / cafes ) "great place for non-drinkers" I don't drink, so bars can be boring for me. This one isn't though, because the board games give me something to do that I don't have to be drunk to enjoy! So if you've got a mixed group of drinkers and non-drinkers/designated drivers, take them... read more

The Watchtower

This is the kind of guy that you might be able to pitch an idea to. And if it's not too off the wall, and not painful, he might actually say 'ok'. He won't laugh you out of the room, and he's a good listener. I think he's going to be a great doctor or something as he has a great bedside manor. (not that I'd know, literally. ;)
