Run Run! They are back again for a 2nd year!
Thanks to the ameature, pre-pro and professional dancers & drummers that performed at the 2006 Dayton City FolkFest. Wearing traditional garb in that hot sun for 45 minute shows really put the dancers and drummers to the test! Lots of water and a few stolen moments in the shade here and there kept everyone on their feet!
Early in the weekend Kalina turned on the TV to find Laylia on Channel 2 balancing drinks and dancing. And if you were tuned in on Monday the whole group was the opening part of the channel 2 live broadcast in the afternoon! Laylia; "Everyone took great stage direction, and worked really hard! The beer tent people really spoiled us with love and their own wiggles!"
The show was a big hit, especially in that beer tent! The little kids were totally engrossed and turned out to be great dancers. And who couldn't love Deanna's little man! The dancing was good, especially a lucious dark woman who showed up in the crowed on Monday!!! And the drumming was hot hot hot! And anyone who was there can still smile about Laylia's whistle incident! The group stayed after for the free live band Salsa dancing and fireworks!
The Rambling Rythms show brought in over $100 in donations from the crowed to help next year's FolkFest, which is free to the public~ (Great Idea Kalina!!!) .
