Rather than flood this blog with a cascade of information, I'll try to post things in a trickle. :) Grad school has been an amazing experience and its nice to be learning so much in an environment made for it. It was an eventful War. I arrived already tired and never seemed to catch up on sleep...both quality and quantity of rest were missing and that made everything tougher. Set-up was a pain because there were so fewer people in my encampment this year which meant more work for those of us who WERE there. The battles I fought in were fun, especially when I had the BRILLIANT idea to tie some string on the end of my spear and "fish" off of the side of the bridge during the bridge battle. Adolph... read more Earlier this week while riding his motorcycle, Master Mischka Ravensfurie, of An Tir, was struck by the car following behind. The damage was extensive and surrounded by his close friends and family, last night Mischka passed from this world. He lived life with a passion and gusto that few allow themselves. I will miss him.
Anybody going to the Con this weekend?

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you and try to live up to the high standards you set. Of all the fencing awards, titles, trophies and championships I have won and will win in the future the one that stands high above the rest is the simply fact that I had the great honor of being your last student.
