last weekend for my first sailing experience i took my home, a 30 foot catalina sloop, to the arch at anacapa island and back. It was so much fun I decided to stay overnight in smugglers cove on santa cruz island this weekend. A buddy from work went with me and we referred to ourselves as gilligan and the skipper many times while enjoying the scenic beauty of santa cruz. I have alot more to learn, like anchoring good enough the first time but all in all it was a wonderful adventure. I used less than a gallon of gas and sailed allmost 40 miles roundtrip, talk about efficent, hit 9.6 mph (I know its not knots but hey my gps is in mph) at least two times on the way back, I feel so alive!!!!!!

well splash here i am finally living in the water on my 30 foot catalina sail boat. been here three weeks so far and loving every minute of it. have both sails in the shop getting repaired, in the process of getting the main motor running properly at 95 dollars an hour ouch. wouldnt trade it for any thing in the world though, my back porch is on the water, the sea birds squak now and then, when it rains i peek out at a cascade apon the water, the people are friendly and its just all around chill time all weekend long. pop a cold one and watch 1000 other masts moving back and forth. it is the life and hey I am saving hundreds I used to pay for rent, it costs 40% of what I used to pay on land. cant be beat! I love it!

so i got to spearhead the setting up of my companies trade show booth for pma 2006 in orlando florida, what a great opportunity and learning experience it was. i am thuroughly exhausted but am proud of what we are trying to accomplish and know everyone involved is doing their very best to make it an opportunity to remember. good luck to our exceptionally gifted staff of geniuses in getting the job done well, cant wait to hear how well it turned out.
