OK.. I'm trying something out here to see where it goes...

The topic: Why do some videos go Viral, and others don't?
My question is this: How the heck is it that one guy will post a video on YouTube that gets MILLIONS of hits in a short period, and another person posts an equally-funny video (subjectively speaking) and it gets like 100.. or 1000? Sure.. I get that people love cats and kids (in videos) and stupid stuff. But even if I...

Do not underestimate the incredible influence you're existance in this round has had, on those who have crossed your path. If they talk about you ("make fun" or otherwise), you are with them. And despite their knowledge, you have given them opportunities to grow.
And I'll bet many have.
At my temple, there is a woman we call our "Temple Dancer". She was a child fleeing WWII with her parents in Europe, grew up in "The Village" taking acting classes with the likes of Barbara Streisand, ...

When in NJ shooting Rakkasah East this past September, m'wife took m'daughter to see the Statue of Liberty. I learned a whole lotta trivia about lady liberty that evening :-)
I think one bit of trivia that stood out for me the most was that the Statue weighs 156 tons (about 78 two-ton cars), while the base it stands on weighs 27,000 tons (about 13,500 cars). HOLY CANOLI batman!
It makes you think about how much needs to go out the foundation of something, so that what's built abov...

Going to bed the other night/morning I looked out into my snow-covered back yard lit by moonlight, to see silhouettes of three deer out there.. one was looking for food under my bird feeder, the other was just staring at a tree and the 3rd slowing approaching those two.
I stood there watching for what seemed like an infinite moment in time until they walked off...
Something so simple and yet I was tickled, calmed, and just loving being in that moment.

My daughter just got home from school and was so excited about her day, and sharing it with her mom downstairs. I hear her say she didn't wear her coat home... rumble rumble... mom asks "what's in your coat?!" and my daughter replied "rocks -- I collected them during the day today!"
1 minute later I hear bang.. bang... bounce.. knock.. roll... as the rocks tumbled across the kitchen floor. E! cried mom.... to which E replied "sorry Mom. sometimes kids just get carried away!"
I thi...

about me
I Enjoy so many things, especially if they relate to people, life, music, spirit, creation.
I love PLAYING live percussion, irish whistles, sax, piano... a dabbling of guitar... singing
I love LIVING new life experiences, spirit play, passion -- living with passion, people. Laughing! Surprises (the good kind). I'm often quiet, introspective, absorbing, unless I am "on" or inspired to move.. and then I TAKE OFF.
I love CREATING & DISCOVERING NEW THINGS punny brain food, deep contemplation (pondering) and idea formation -- and discovering new answers to my favorite question: "where does your spirit live?"
I love STIMULATING THE SENSES -- honey and things cooked with it... mmm.. Baklava, ethnic foods ... mm.. indian, thai (note: the *best* thai in Buffalo IMO is at King & I), *hand-cut french fries*, silk pies, crepes, napoleans. Sweet Jenny's Ice Cream. Simple dishes packed with flavor -- Potato Coconut Stew.
If it's outside the box, I probably like it. Some people might find me a bit wacky.. I like to keep things fresh and just have fun... fun with myself, fun with people. Shave the beard... keep the beard.. shave part... shave only one half! People are awesome. People are holy. We each have the spark to do amazing things... but we're usually too afraid to really exploit our powers.
Eat the desert before the meal.
Go running in the rain.
Don't walk, run.
And don't sleep until you're tired.
Sing and dance out loud, and if you must, keep singing silently inside. But never stop the music.
And I love beauty in nature. A WARM fire. CUDDLING with my love (I miss this). I'm a SNUGGLER, HUGGER. I can stand firm on things that matter to me and speak out where wrongdoing is occuring. I am SENSITIVE and COMPASSIONATE, an empathic mirror, a good ear. A calming stream. Water -- water invigorates and refreshes and calms all the same. Energizing sun, blue skies. Deep and diverse green in trees. Occassionally, a day of nothing.. to veg, chill, recharge... a beach. A field. A cool breeze and a hamock.
I've loved the MARTIAL ARTS / TAE KWON DO -- I am a 3RD DEGREE black belt, and just when I think I get it, I realize there's so much more to learn. The balance of life needs to be experienced sometimes and not rationalized... SOMETIMES IT'S BEST TO JUST STOP THINKING, and to live with your FEELING, your INTUITION, your NATURE. I SKI.. locally, once in Aspen, once in Stowe. Aspen rocked -- the quietude and peacefulness of a life through the snow-capped trees, quiet wind swaying their bark.. crack.. creek... ah.. BEAUTY!
Professionally, I do artistic multi-cam VIDEOGRAPHY of life and live events, biographical life journaling, documentaries and work with technology to incorporate art, music and life-- capturing and creating beauty -- playing. In my previous career I was SOFTWARE DESIGNER AND DEVELOPER by education and trade, and 16 years later a INDUSTRY TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT... computers can be fun (when they work). Some folks think I'm really realy smart. Some folks think I just want to seem that way. Me? I just like to be around smart people that can expand before they contract and promote the best outcomes without letting their ego get in the way. I also thrive being around CREATIVE people who can see with their eyes shut, and hear the silence more than the words.
