I've been here a week thus far and its been great! The group I'm with is staying at a place about 1 mile from the shores of Lake Victoria. On one of our first days here we all went down to the source of the River Nile. I hope we can go to the equator too, that would be awesome! Only one word can describe this place... BEAUTIFUL!

I'm working with two other Ugandans being a camp leader to 9 boys. Their stories are amazing. It's also been interesting for me to be in Bible study every day and small group discussion about things like sin, grace and Jesus dying on the cross; These kids are amazing. They have so little yet seem to be happier than most people I know in the US. I've already started to think of my next trip back next year. If I do I hope to also travel to Rwanda.

I sent a photo back to someone and she said that Africa seemed to agree with me, that I looked 10 years younger. I don't exactly feel that way as the sports and constant activity have muscles I didn't know exist hurt every day, I feel 10 years younger in spirit. Well time to head back to camp.

Next time you step into your shower or bath be thankful the water is warm and flows from the tap. I know I will. The water main is broken and will be fixed sometime in the future. For now it's cold buckets of water.

God bless you all. Wherever you may be.
