about me
I've had some pretty amazing experiences in my life. I've managed to travel the world a little (some say a lot). Did the Burning Man thing for 4 years. Now I'm moving forward to explore life and new oportunties as they come to me.
Anyone up for a bike ride, I can always use a partner. Either that or someone to play the occasional Counter Strike game with. :-)
I just finished the documentary "The Devil Came on Horseback" which chronicled the genocide in Darfur. It was a tough movie to watch. Many horrific and graphic images.
Africa has been on my mind a lot lately. A year ago I felt that I wanted to go to Africa on a Mission trip, and three months ago I went on one to Uganda. Now I want to go back again, but for longer than two weeks. I don't know when or how yet, but I've got a year to plan. I also want to spend some time in Rwanda.
For now ...

I feel I have started a new life.
It's an interesting feeling. Kinda scary. I'm living in a new place on my own, in a city I've only driven through, and start my new job tomorrow. This weekend I moved to Sunnyvale and have unpacked my stuff to a point where it's comfortable. There are still three stacks of boxes in the living room, but overall it's ok. All I need to do now is get a couch, dining room set, rack for my computers and desk. It's strange to live alone in a small apartment...

As many of you know I recently returned from Uganda. It was an amazing two weeks. Overall it was too weeks too short, yet at the same time it was just the right amount of time. I thought I had processed it until today. Today I don't know what happened. I just cried, I'm crying now, I can't stop it. My heart hurts, my heart aches.
Some of you may have heard of a program called Invisible Children. Many of you probably have not however. Invisible Children is an organization which is h...

And Another Thing....
I just wanted to restate what a good guy this man is. Red gives his heart wholly to things and people. He's an obnoxious Eagle Scout, but in a very endearing way. Whenever I meet someone who consciously chooses to be in this world for Good, I want to shout it from the mountain. (imagine me on top of a mountain) 'RedTux Rawks!'

Cute cuddly geek boy. Just the way I like them.
RedTux has been a great friend for me through good times and bad. He knows how to cook steak too. One day I'll get to help with the Biology lectures.

Y'know he's a bit of a hothead, but then again so am I. RedTux just loves being part of the PeanutGallery, but then again, so do I.
Total geek who loves to volunteer for all sorts of stuff. He's a great guy. This is why We like him.
If I had a big thumb, I'd give him a big thumbs up, sadly my hands are somewhat petite, so Instead he gets Paula's 'Big Brains up'! Especially since he's one of those big brain people.

constantly surprising, sweet, attentive.
he makes time fly with ease.
strong, comforting, caring.
he's brought me many smiles, warmth and peace.
definitely one of the good ones-I'm very lucky to have him on my side.

Y'know, I totally wanted to write up some stupid testimonial about RedTux; somkething like, "RT is such a jerk. I let him borrow my car and he crashed it and he stole my girlfriend and he threw up all over my bathroom one time." None of that ever happened but I know he'd get a kick out of it and that's the kind of friends we are.
RT is my good bud like, since forever. He's very cool and almost totally unselfish and I whup his butt in Counter-Strike all the time. He loves Burning Man almost as much as he loves his Jeep Cherokee. This dude knows how to party. And how to DJ, too. :)
