about me
One of the founders of Heavyweight Dub Champion. We started our collective at 9000 feet above sea level in a log cabin with no running water. That is where our first album "Survival Guide for the End of Time" was recorded. It includes the Last Champion Manifesto and original artwork by Jher 451. We are currently in production of our second album "Rise of the Champion Nation" which features 3 tracks with KRS ONE (one song, "Arrival" was remixed by Bassnectar), a track with Killah Priest of the Wu Tang Clan, many tracks with Apostle, Stero Lion, scratching by Illnaughty. Operation Raise the Dead- To bring people back in touch with the creative power that gave birth to the soul, so that we can give rise to a nation of living beings. The Champion Nation, without borders, barriers, non-exclusive to incarnate forms. The Champion Nation unites with all positive entities to help enable the great unification, the Rise of the Last Champion, and the migration to our next destination.
As we are coming close to the 10 year anniversary of Heavyweight Dub Champion’s first performance, I have decided to start writing a regular blog about the many aspects of HDC, Champion Nation, Liberation Movement and the various relationships we have in this collective Liberation Process. I will be posting these blogs on HDC, Resurrector and LM’s individual myspace pages, as well as on tribe and potentially some other cyberspots. As my rendition of reality unfolds, I will touch on many aspec...

Heavyweight Dub Champion's performance at Reggae On The River was a TRUE VICTORY for Liberation Music! We were originally supposed to perform on Friday Night after Sean Paul - a bastion of ignorance for sure- Carol Bruno (head promoter) took it into her hands to move us to 1015 pm Sat. Night and we played to over 17,000 people.
We opened with a new song from HDC newcomer Lady K called "Trouble". It is a old gospel tune she used to sing with her late Mother. The song is a haunting journey ...

Positivity
As the Warrior becomes more and more sensitive to his surroundings, the ability to maintain strength and positivity becomes increasingly important. Inevitably, becoming human means becoming more sensitive and more aware. The Warrior's relationship to the world around him grows to be more acute and finely tuned. His deep sense of compassion for himself and all beings can be overwhelming. When he starts to feel consumed by responsibility and infiltrated by universal sadness, he mu...

Nemo and I have been discussing artistic collaborations, after reading this email I wrote to him today, I figured I'd just post it...
Yes!!!
I really feel where you are coming from...
As you probably know and can feel, our music is intended as a interdimensioanl vortex energizer-- it is a spell casting exorcise in its own right, so where you are coming from with your art is full on synchronicity.
The Otium, which we all wear as amulets around our necks and I have tattooed on my h...

Return of the Champion
The Original Champion has returned. His people are assembled and it is nearly time for the move to our new Nation. For a time, this Nation may exist only as abond between warriors; a place through which the Champion brings knowledge and hope. While in the midst of our spiritual and psychological war, we must remember the weapons we possess. We must remember our Kingdom. Our physical form has limbs that extend to the source of Creation. From this source we receive the...

Hey - ya'll should know this:
Of all the acts I have hosted in the Electronica Dome, at Earthdance Northern California, Heavyweight Dub Champion gets massive props for flooring the floor with the most epic of late-night performances. Music aside (and its hard to sidstep a dub-drubbed, glitch-hopped, sax-tweaked, MC-rubbed quake of riddims and grooves) the method behind the madness is the soul of the people and Grant (and crew) is attitudinally one of the most respectable peeps I have worked with.
He's got a message - you've got ears and he knows how to get there....
