For our final episode of 2007, we pick up where Genji left off last month; with Sacramento’s Resynthesize! Nah, we didn’t plan it - we’re just tapped in like that.

A founding member of the Escape Artists crew (along with Rhedcerulean, Phokus, Psylence, and recent memekast guest SeventhSwami), Resynthesize currently has two LPs and one remix album under his belt. His debut LP, Heart and Soul Direct, was released on Experimedia in 2006, with a remix collection appearing on the same label in 2007. His latest LP release is entitled Handprints, and is available from Addictech.

For the memekast he concocts a psychedelic blend of breaks, electro, and dubstep, all original productions and remixes. Keep an eye out for his forthcoming EP, The Green Wall, due to drop in January.

Stilldream 07 mix

I played a DJ set at the stilldream annual campout this weekend and posted the mp3 online for your listening pleasure. I tried to fuse a lot of dubstep into minimal techno and breaks and back out again. Really enjoying that sound lately. Hope you enjoy.

Handprints album released!

Handprints LP released!

My latest CD (well, LP is a more accurate description since it's available via download) Handprints was put online last night. After releasing two full length albums for free, I decided to have a go at actually selling this one. To preview and purchase, you can go to resynthesize.addictech.com. They have 2 minute clips of every track, and you can buy individual tracks or the whole album in one go. If you have the space/bandwidth, I would highly recommend grabbing the FLAC version because it is true CD quality and will sound how I intended it to. MARRS mix available!

Wow - I would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who came out last night for the MARRS show, that was the most fun I've had in awhile at a time where fun is definitely needed. I recorded my set and have an mp3 available w/ tracklist for those interested. I'm really happy with how it came out (aside from a few minor mistakes but hey, that happens)

Heart and Soul Direct Remixed released!

Hot on the heels of yesterdays blog, the remix album is now available as a free download from ivdt.net/ivdtreleases70.html#mp3062. I'm really happy with how it turned out and would love to hear any feedback anyone has on it.

2 new LPs to be released soon

I'm excited to announce that there will be two new resynthesize albums released in the next couple of weeks. The first is the Heart and Soul Direct Remixed album which will be released for free through the illmatik_vibes_delete:thought (www.ivdt.net) net label. My goal for this was to get my favorite producer friends to each remix a track and re-release the whole thing again. It took awhile to get everything sorted out but it's just about ready.
