about me
I am Joe...known as "Stick" to some of my close friends...and spirituality is just a portion of what comprises my cosmic egg. I tend not to place myself in any one particular path as i blend all and embrace all. I have practiced within the circle, both alone & with friends. I have studied Spiritualism, though I was raised Catholic. I am a steward of Gaia and all her inhabitants. I am a Reiki Master Teacher, Trace Medium & Melchizedek Priest, continually walking the path of the mystical realms. Shamanic wisdom and practice comes to me directly from Spirit. I am a Warrior of the Rainbow and gather in national forests every July with thousands of others to pray for world peace and healing. Music is my passion and I believe it is an incredible healer. A big hug & unlimited gratitude to the Grateful Dead & my community of Deadheads for steering me in the right direction & saving my life. I am a true explorer and have traveled all over the country...by car...a gypsy by choice. Aspects of me belong in Boulder, CO & Taos, NM. I love drumming in the woods, meditating on a mountaintop, communing with tribal elders, talking to animals, embracing trees, walking barefoot in the sand. Sometimes things weigh me down, but then I realize that I am still human. I have no regrets about anything I've done in my life so far and am pretty damn proud of what I've accomplished. I am honored to have friends all over the country and they know they are loved, though we may not see each other all the time. I am an encourager, my mission being to help others realize their full potential. And I am truly thankful for all the bright beings who I have met so far on this path. You all rock! ;-) ~Namaste~

This J.R.R. Tolkien quote has been playing over & over in my head since I woke up yesterday. Though I've heard it so many times before, the true meaning (for me anyway) hit me like a ton of bricks at a time when I needed to hear it the most.

There are certain times on our path when we realize that a crossroads is before us. Though on some level we embrace the change, another part of us hesitates. We get caught up in the moment, wanting so much to hold on to the illusion of the ideal tha... read more

And I don’t know who I am. But life is for learning." Joni Mitchell/CS&N (Woodstock) 1970 What’s a hippie? What’s the difference between an old hippie and a new hippie? Once a hippie, always a hippie? These and similar questions are the source of much debate today. New subcategories like web-hippies, cyber-hippies, even zippies have become fashionable. But what is a hippie and are you one? To answer this question, let... read more
Why is it that we keep following them? I've been struggling with this question forever. As free-spirits, we all strive to live our lives as impeccably as possible, to project only the highest, best and brighest energy to everyone we meet. We do good works and tread lightly on the land, making sure we don't hurt anybody or anything in the process. We focus on the positive and cancel out the negative since we all know that we truly reap what we sow. But is this enough? Are we really doing...

Joe is my soulmate. I don't mean in the sense of romance either. Joe and I met and we instantly clicked. He is my brother. He is a constant in my life. My center and my grounding. Without him, I don't know where I would be. I love him muchly. I tell him as often as I can. He's strong and kind. No one could ask for a better soul brother than the one I have.

Joe is an amazing friend. A true spiritual brother to all on the path. He is kind, patient and funny. The spirit drew us together, and the first time I met him it was like "ok, now to pick up where we left off last time". He has a loving, sacred soul. And he is my brother, even though he sold the Rainbow Family sweatshop for a bunch of signed Bing Crosby records. Namaste.
