Rev. is so cool that I feel lucky to be considered his friend. The guy could not have better taste in music and I am hoping to hear him play his bass one day.

Oh and don't worry about the "here for your daughter" thing. She would be a very lucky lady, indeed.

Occassional Musings

Hey cats and kittens, remember me? Due to a variety of professional and personal reasons, it's been several months since I've been around these parts. The simple explanation is that several people at my work got "written up" for spending too much time on MySpace and I figured it was just a matter of time until they made their way around to me for my tribe activity, so combine that with my home computer blowing up around the same time and me knowing myself enough to know that if there is one t... read more

There are two styles of music that I absolutely love that people tend to be a little shocked when they first learn of my fondness for them. The first is 60's garage rock (pageboy haircuts and Vox guitars and Farfisa organs) which isn't quite well represented in these lists (for obvious reasons) and the second of which is 70's power-pop (skinny ties and Rickenbackers) which while it has been subtly represented up to this point can simply not be ignored any longer with the inclusion of the firs... read more

I decided that to make up for lost time I am going to just cut-n-paste a couple of these entries here now.

I'm having a lot of fun digging on how many albums I have in common with my friends who have making similar lists. I have to admit that at first I was originally trying to post more often than they were so that it wouldn't seem that I was copying them but obviously that was a bust and anyway now I'm just kind of grooving to the similarities. I guess there's a reason why we're all pal... read more

Gah, I'm the worst on updating this list. Embarrising since I completed the list up to the mid '90s a *long* time ago and all I really need to do is cat-n-paste it in here.

Anyway, 1977 was a phenomenal year for music and many of my favorite albums or at least albums that had a big influence on me came out during this year. Its such a good year that I don't have to write that much of a blurb and can just let the music speak for itsself. Anyone who knows me will most likely not be surprised... read more

I've been neglecting my "albums of my life" list for far too long I really need to get back to it so here we go...
(for those of you new to this, go here for the explanation: people.tribe.net/revpete/b...6018a84d36 )

"Destroyer" was the first "real" album I ever bought with my own money. I'm pretty sure that I didn't buy it in 1976 though since the second album I bought was "Never Mind the Bullocks..." and I didn't buy that too long afterwards. Plus I bo... read more
