I'll be in Claremont for new years, and I was wondering if anybody knew of any fire friendly parties in or around LA... anybody found something fun?

my birthday

My birthday was awesome. Bryce came in to town, who I haven't seen since he moved to SF... way too long! He convinced me to go to EDC, which turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected. I was watching Mutaytor perform (mutaytor.com), and saw a few fire spinners go on stage that I knew. When they finished, I flagged them down, and they let me backstage... I met some of the other performers, and spun some (unlit) poi with them. The stage manager saw me, was impressed I guess, and asked me to spin fire on stage! What a great birthday present - I got to spin on stage with one of the largest touring performance troupes in the country, in front of a crowd of about 2,000!

The spins (2 of them) went amazingly well, and I met a few people that I've known only through tribe for almost a year. I haven't slept since friday night, but hey, that's how a birthday weekend SHOULD be :)
