Drums - the rhythm of life, the heartbeat of Mother Earth...
about me
I have been doing art and music since about age 10. My main interest has always been in percussion. I have played hand drums for over 7 years now. Currently I am learning male belly dance, fire dancing and more drumming! I always gave have several projects going in regards to music and recording some demo works in addition to artistic endeavors and items for sale. I am always looking for like minded people who are interested in jamming and forming world fusion groups to go and perform! I play djembe, doumbek, bodhran, and still learning the didge! I have led drum circles, taught drum classes and other various classes and meet ups. Check out some more schtuff at www.drumhippy.com !
As they say, no good deed goes unpunished...but I guess I keep tryin'. (sigh)

There is never enough time in a day or a year to do the things that I want to do and need to do...
Oh to be independantly wealthy!
In this day and age, you'd think we could do more telecommuting with our jobs, but noooooo....therein lies the irony. More and more companies have the technology and ability for their employees to work from home, however, the management won't let you work from home 'cause they can't keep an eye on you. huh
There are so many things I would like to be doin...

Well, its been a long, long, time since I have posted something so here goes.... Between my friend Brian and I we formed a new drum group called DrumDogs and very soon we were doing gigs all over the place! It has been a lot of fun and we have met some great people!
Our group consists of five talented drummers and percussionists, myself, Brian (founder of GoroGoro), Ryan, Marino, and Dr. Jon. I have created a tribe for DrumDogs so if you are interested in following our exploits or looking...

WOW! Who needs to go to New Orleans? Last night our drum group drummed in a parade for Mardi Gras, celebrating Fat Tuesday before Lent. What a blast!
The entire flavor of the Mardi Gras was all emcompassing in downtown San Diego starting at 8:00pm. Although the parade was a mere six blocks, the crowd and paraders made for high energy and fun!
It has been awhile since I drummed so much, so needless to say after marching in a parade, walking all over central downtown (Gas Lamp District) a...

Wicked Hippy came into my life about 3 1/2 years ago. At the time we were part of a "circle of friends" in faith. He opened his heart, home and meta-physical store for all those who wanted to gather for fellowship and community. He worked long hours to bring joy to his fellow Pagans. Although, he has been thrown some rotten apples, he has maintained a sense of innocense that I love.
After only seeing each other on ocassion at events for about a year. In April of 2004 we realized there was more to our relationship than just friends. Since then, my life has not been the same. He has shown me there is so much more to life.
He has shown me what it is to TRULY be loved and appreciated for who I am...not what I can do for him.
He has been there for me in some very trying times. I can tell him all my deepest secrets (and yes, he knows them ALL). I'm very surprised he didn't go running the other way!
He has been my rock. I feel safe and secure in his arms. I love our times of laying in bed talking about whatever comes to mind. I can't wait to see what lies ahead for us...gypsies, dancing, drumming, who knows? Our lives are definitely an adventure together. I'm so glad our paths have crossed. It was a rough road to get here but, I think, we had alot of life lessons to be taught first...SHIMMY ON!!!
