about me
Check out my website @ www.memedesign.net. My wife and I just moved to SF from San Luis Obispo. We left some of the best friends we could have ever imagined in San Luis Obispo but San Francisco is treating us well. We've got a little place in the Mission. Hooping is occupying more and more of my life and I love it! Basically right now my life is architecture and hooping. I'm hooping 10-15 hours a week and I keep finding that runner's high from hooping so hard. It's becoming part of my own daily ritual, almost a mediation. I'm an obscenely unspiritual person but I find miraculous moments when I hit my flow. When I can let go of my inner conflicts and dialogue and do nothing but the motions I've repeated so many times that they now feel like home, I discover myself. I'm finding that my hooping is shifting away from learning more tricks to simply finding my own happy hooping place.

What an amazing weekend. The Hoop path workshop was completely inspiring. Parts resonated to my core while others didn't hit home (that's how I wanted it to be!) Overall it will deepen my practice. Doors have opened that I didn't know existed. Doors seem exciting that bored me before. I can't wait to get back to my hoop. Baxter and Ann were wonderfu... read more
I knew it was going to happen. I threw my hoop off the roof onto the neighboring building, 20 ft below.

Last weekend Lauren and I traveled down to San Luis Obispo to visit the spinning family there. We also did some some performances at Burning Tax Man. Chris was on fire (literally and metaphorically). Grant and I landed a double pizza toss trade in the middle of a double psi hoop performance. The PSI hoop couldn't even handle Josh's speed and he literally exploded the seam while spinning. Laurie's grace is ever growing and her isolations are becoming spotless. Lauren is improving incred...
