So the "leadership at the screen actors guild wants to strike. Our city and industry is still recovering from the last one. And this time, the whole nations economy is teetering on the edge of financial collapse. We are that close folks, it's that real. Wachovia and Wamu have fallen. We are looking at the all too real possibility of another great depression.

This is not the time to strike. Yes, day players and guest stars deserve more residuals and a piece of the internet pie. That being said, now is not the time for that fight. It's pretty hard to starve somebody who owns seven houses. The producers may have to cut back on the private jet trips for a few weeks, but many grips, caters and costumers are going to lose everything. And so will the dentists and cable installers and bus drivers. We're just too fragile too fight right now. We're already hurting. No more. Not till we all can afford it.

So please contact any SAG actors you know, and tell them to send in their cards and vote no. It's really important.
