Murphy's Law states that if you bother to come into work early, you won't get anything more done.

Case in point: I came in almost two hours earlier than usual, only to find that the entire network was down. Work I can do when the network is down: 0 (except for some filing, but that's 3 minutes of work). So I was trapped at work for an hour and a half with no work and no play.

So my coworkers spent their hour being mad at each other and aggrevated that they have had their office space reorganized. They're so petty.

In other news I finished fixing up my spare bike. Now she is all shiny and functional, except that I am considering turning her into a fixy. (The freewheel is slowly dying a miserable death, and when it dies I will have a fixy, de facto, because when it dies, it will be because the freewheel has totally locked up) She is a bit heavy, and I never liked the column shifters, but she's fast and sturdy, so its all good.

To make up for fixing my spare bike, we broke mara's bike. Well, technically the last bike accident broke her bike, but we sealed its meaty fate. (we broke the shifter knob that wouldn't work because it was bent.) Time to dumpster more bike parts...or go to worship at the bike church.

And if you ever have the chance, you must absolutely convince mara to make coconut macaroons for you. They are simply divine.
