Rita is such an amazing person, friend, and an indomitable spirit! I first met her when she came to bellydance classes with me and I have watched her fight a great fight against cancer, go through reconstructive surgeries, and totally rebound. It makes my heart leap with joy to see her dance (and to see her hair grow!) and I am so glad she joined PURE in Orlando and has given so much of herself to our group. Thanks Rita - you raq!

he was such a sick cat... i wish i could have done more for him... i felt so helpless... he was a stubborn cat, but a good boy, nonetheless... i wish him my best on whatever path he has gone... and damn i can't stop tearing up... above is a picture of him during healthier years. 
a couple of weeks ago, i was background talent in a promo shoot for WFTV and the Race for the Cure. we (me and the other background people) walked in front of the camera as if we were walking in the race and inviting others to join us.

i seem to be obsessing over my hair lately... just a few years ago, i was bald...so maybe i'm making up for actively not being emotional about that at the time, to now, when i'm really liking the way it looks and behaves. yes...i color it....with henna cut with merlot... 
a couple of months ago, i sent out an email asking some friends for their support for a cause that most of you know is very personal...many of you witnessed my journey fighting and winning my battle over cancer...
