With all the time I have here at my 'rents Im back on the costuming jag and have the first of my new headbands for sale heres the nitty gritty, if you want to see the one i made for myself just take a look in my photos.
There will be more goodies in this vein on the way including belts, if you have something specific in mind please drop me a message.
For those of you like me who are animal lovers here is some info on where i get my leather, it is from upholstery remnants so its not bought from new sides of leather. Some of it you could tell was a couch cushion that was no good for some reason. So its stuff that could have just been thrown away =/
The headband that is for sale has a black suede base, with glass pearls and small metal and rhinestone bits, and two large rhinestone accents on the ends. The ends are finished in D rings to attach your own goodies to and the ties of your choice. The rivets that secure the D rings are screw on style so that you can add other things on such as the large Miao earrings ect, and screw back together to secure the loop back.
Price for this one is $45 plus S&H. If you are interested please drop me a message, if you can please includ your email address, so I can get back with you on Shipping if I'm at work (as I cant access Tribe there, but can access my email). I accept paypal.

Heather and I had a performance at a local club last night for a local radio DJ's Birthday bash, we were doing our Tribal Fusion thang, the thing we love. While at the performance last night a few people from the local Middle Eastern community were there (we know a few of the ladies that were there). After we danced our first set of songs(we were dancing to totally modern music, Amon Tobin, Stina Nordenstam and some Indian flavored techno that night), went back to our table we were sitting at, and one of the men came up to me and asked if we were going dance to any middle eastern music, I went through our list of music real fast in my head, and told him no we werent tonight. He said but its much easier to dance to then what you dance to ect ect (that irritated me a bit) and became really pushy about wanting us to dance to middle eastern music. I tried to explain we werent doing traditional bellydance, ect i finally said Im sorry but we arent dancing to that type of music tonight, trying to be polite as i could, i totally understand we're not what they think of when they think of a bellydancer... He finally gave up told me we did a really good job and walked off to his table. My question to my tribal dance sisters out there how do handle this type of situation? Ive had this happen to an extent in the past but never with them being so pushy.
