about me
32 years old and recently married to a wonderful woman. We've each got a son. Hers is 9. Mine's 5. Both awesome boys, that bring us a lot of joy.

My greatest passion outside of my family is tabletop roleplaying. I've played a lot of different games. Some total homebrews, and most of the more common games. Willing to try just about anything once. Except for the Candyland mass combat system and TCG combo pack. Somehow, that doesn't seem to be what Candyland was intended for. Especially when the critical hit tables are taken into account. That just ain't right.

I like making those around me laugh, or at least entertaining them. Fortunately, all of my friends tend to be easily entertained. I often come across as serious when people first meet me, but when that comfort level rises that changes.

I'm originally from Montana. A tiny little town called Trout Creek. Nothing much to talk about. A peaceful little place with hunting, fishing, and lots of tourism. Gorgeous year 'round, and over all a nice place to live, if a bit boring from time to time...or all the time....whichever. When I was 19, I joined the Army for 4 years, and was subsequently bounced around the world through Missouri, New England, Germany, and finally landing in TX at Ft. Hood. Found a techie job after that, and stayed in the Austin area. Eventually moved on from there, and now I work the Dept. of Family Protective Services (CPS). Got married at the TX Renaissance Festival last November 4th.

My Recent Activity

Re: Free Washer/Dryer (in Burn Austin) Washer is now gone. I just helped a guy load it up onto his truck. Still surprised that someone came over at 2AM, but glad they went to a home that needed them. Apparently he has a baby at home and they've been needing a washer pretty bad.

Re: Free Washer/Dryer (in Burn Austin) They still haven't been picked up by anyone. I'd thought they would be gone after the jillion calls I got after posting on craigslist. They're in front of my garage at 2642 Gwendolyn Lane (side A), Austin, 78748. If you want 'em, come get 'em. ... read more

Free Washer/Dryer (in Burn Austin) Use it for pieces for something creative, or for just washing clothes. Regardless, it's free for the first person that shows up with a vehicle that can take them away. A set of Whirlpool washer and dryer. Both work. Timer on the dryer doesn't ... read more

Well... (blog entry) I got the job, and have been here for about four weeks now. A day or two more actually. Really liking it, though I've had to take a second job to cover the reduction in pay. I'm now working for Child Protective Services and Fry's. Good stuff. ... read more

Browsing around Tribe this morning, and for a while I was wondering if I was eccentric enough to be on this site....then I realized that I'm a dirty old man (in training) with my own little quirks and eccentricities. I'm just possibly not as ou... read more

It went OK. Not awesome or anything, but OK. I'm concerned that it's technically a reduction in pay from my current position, but at the same time, I really think the benefits might make up for that.

- Leatherworking. Yes. I typed it as all one word. I know it's not technically correct. Remind me to care later.

Basically, I'm really enjoying fiddling with leather. I started out making a belt for my wife, but now I'm wanting to do more projects. I've got several ideas in mind.
