This stunning cuff was made from a vintage silk sari border which was hand embroidered in India many years ago using REAL METAL THREAD. (Take care when ironing--the metal gets pretty hot). This beautiful embroidery (zari or zardosi), is rarely done in India anymore and it is increasingly hard to find these borders or sari's with these types of borders, which is a shame because I really love the look. BUT it just adds to the uniqueness and rarity of the item.



What I love is that the metal threads give that special glitz and shine which makes them perfect as an almost jewelry item!



This funky and unique emerald green cuff features a repeating floral disc motifs in purple and orange and has nifty metal snaps.



NOTE: Any imperfections on the embroidery is due to the age of the sari border (in most cases, 40+ years). Please convo me if you have any questions...

REDUCED Melanie Deep Purple Dupioni and Iridescent Indian Silk Party Dress

This simply gorgeous 100% Dress in Deep Purple and Pink Iridescent Silk by hennaflower is now available on Etsy!



This dress was inspired by 50's style but with a uniquely modern edge (and just a hint of bollywood.)



The skirt part of the dress has two overlays in the front, one showcasing a pretty Iridescent Indian silk with Gold Embrodiery. The other is the same purple Dupioni, but is lined with the Iridescent silk! It also has a sweet waist ribbon that ties in the back and I've added a matching bias tape to the lining the peeks out underneath the dress!



I've sized this dress as large.



Measurements are:

Bust: 35 2/8 inches

Waist: 30 3/8 inches

Length: (Center front top to bottom) 34 1/8

The skirt is an a-line skirt and will fit up to around a 43 inch hip measurement.
