i am constantly growing. i push myself toward growth, opening and acceptance every day. sometimes i push too hard. i am teaching myself to slow down a little, and have patience for myself. it comes naturally if i'm offering to someone else, but not from me for me.

i bring joy into my life, in many moments, by finding small pieces of beauty in everything. maybe the way sunlight comes through a window and illuminates the leaves of a plant for just a second....or the look exchanged between two people - lovers, parent and child, friends - that i know could not be anything but love....or the calling of birds in the trees - to what, i don't know...or the feeling of moving hurriedly around a corner, only to encounter such a radiant being that everything slows down again, even after we pass....or the innocent smiles of children...or riding on the swings with my eyes closed, and feeling that almost-too-giddy sensation in my stomach, rising up and out in laughter...or the conversations that happen with those i love, in which words are not required....
