"Up until I turned 40, I can honestly say that whenever I saw somebody who I considered old, you know, like...40...I would just look at them, completely unable to relate and, to be honest, totally unaccepting of the idea that one day that would be me. "

I repeat, "one day that would be me." It's good for me to remember that, barring any catastrophe or illness, I will BE that older person driving the car in front of me. We are all connected.

"We are all connected"
yup!
i mean, walking into that restaurant last night was some kind of proof, eh?

it's not the "old" that bothers me so much as it is the body deciding it doesn't want to do my bidding anymore. i AM keen on the wisdom that is going to be associated with my years...and i DO feel better about myself in the sense that I know better who i am and what i want from this life (i think) as the clock ticks on.

and i'll honk and flip ya off just the same if you are driving like an ass at age 19 or 99...just sayin'!

@jeff ok, but the part I quoted was the author of the main piece, not @fakeandyrooney. ;)
