I have no pity for GM or any of the "big 3" American car companies. I certainly don't think we should be bailing them out. Nor the banks, for that matter... GM had it's opportunity to lead in the green automobile revolution when they introduced electric cars in the mid 90's. What did they do? They took it off line and instead brought out the Hummer and the SUV craze ensued. I urge anyone to watch the excellent documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car?" for an insightful look.
