$8,000.00 purchase price, could have paid for three funerals rather than potentially causing them!!
'Official' web site: hitch-buddy.com or tow-buddy.com - Check 'em out!
WARNING WILL ROBINSON!! This ripped the receiver hitch to shreds in just the couple of hundred miles between northern SoCal and SLO!!!

WOW!!!Maybe I am an old fuddy-duddy (at 45) but the Safety guy in me says "YIKES that does not even look safe to begin with!"
Glad to hear you were not injured or worse. We can't afford to lose you Cindy.
Tow BuddyThere are over 250 of these systems on the road, and this is the only incident that has been reported.
I'm not sure but if this is the 2" receiver that I seen it had massive undercut on the weld. I've seen one other receiver tube break like this without using a dolly, pulling a tag trailer that was overloaded.
You must be kidding meOK, so the purchaser of the tow-buddy hooks it up to his truck, tows his 5th wheel, and we're all supposed to assume that just because he's blaming the tow-buddy for his troubles, everything else is okie-dokie.
The extreme lack of information the original poster provided in his condemnation of the tow-buddy makes this post suspect at best.
Well, I submit that this there are so many variables not even mentioned by the OP, this post deserves to be deleted.
Also, why did it take the OP 3 times to think about not using the tow-buddy?
Seems to me like ONE time would have made me wonder if everything was setup just right.
