No rehearsal for life - This is it!!!
One Hundred and One Dives........ :-)Sun, March 22, 2009 - 9:31 PM
I can remember almost giving up during the pool session and vowing never to do it again. Now, I can't wait to get into the water.
Even if it means a 90 minute drive to the dive site, lugging a 26lb tank and 22lb in weights, a bumpy ride through the Heads, a bit of a swell getting back onto the boat, lugging all the gear back to the dive club, changing, packing the car, another 90 min drive then wash up at the dive shop.
But, it's been worth it. Discovering that for every stunning building, beautiful plant, view or animal above the sea there are twice as many spectular corals, fish, nudibrancs, bombies, reefs & wrecks below.
I'm no where near expert level but I love learning new skills and putting them into practice. With my SSI Masters cert under my belt, I'm now looking forward to doing my Dive Con later this year.
In the meantime, I'm eagerly looking forward to diving in PNG & Solomon Islands in July & August and hopefully in Thailand in Oct/Nov. But until then, Port Philip Bay is my diving haven. And even more dives during our winter now I'm getting my Dry suit.
Happy and safe diving to all you scuba buddies out there.

I'm not a SCUBA diver, but I share your enthusiasm.
How deep have you been?
