How do you feel about present tense?
I'm writing something where for some parts the immediacy of present tense makes it nicer, but enforcing it over the whole story isn't as natural feeling. I'm wondering in what contexts people have used present tense comfortably through an entire work; at least 8 pages. (This is potentially way, way longer)

So originally I thought the shootings at The Zone (formerly Quest) were related to the gang shootings out on SE 92nd and into others areas of north portland, but they weren't
Apparently, it was pretty much exchange students who were shot in this incident.
