Old Ebbitt Grill ( local favorites » restaurants ) "Best place for oysters!" hey have a dozen or so varieties all certified safe. They also have a great wine selection ( the winners of the Old Ebbitt?s annual Wine With Oysters Contest). The other food is okay but this really is the best place for oysters.

Kennedy Center?s Millennium Stage ( local favorites » bands / djs / musicians ) "Free shows!" Every night at 6 there is a free show on the Millennium Stage, which is in a big halway at the K center. Uptown Theater ( local favorites » parks & recreation ) "Great old Theater" This is one of those great old theaters that still has a balconey. It is perfect for seeing the big star wars type movies. Sit in the front row of the balcony and feel like you are in the movie! There is even a real red velour curtain.

Wild Women Wear Red ( local favorites » shops ) "Funky and functional footwear!" This is a totally hip shoe store. Be ready to be spendy though as a lot of this stuff is totally original and consequently expensive. Brands include Camper and Nading -- I can't think of anyother place to get these shoes in DC.
