If anyone can lead a bellydance army its this woman. I have had the pleasure of seeing her dance twice in person and twenty million times on video, I just cant stop watching. Every movement is precise with no effort, every expression genuine with no ego, every smile warm with no ulterior motive. There is an energy about Rozana and the way she creates that I aspire to, maybe in another 30 years. To hear her speak, to watch her dance,to feel her message is a real experience. Albuquerque is so lucky!

This past year has been amazing and that is because I have been blessed to dance and work with one of the best dancers in the US, Rozana al Jinana.
Every time I see her dance, I am in total amazement of her masterful eye in choreography, timing and theatrical presence.
Rozana is the Ruth St. Dennis of our time and this past year with her new dvd out, Raqs Assaya 'Blue Moon" and her rise in the workshop arena, she has proven herself time and again in our dance community that she is one of the best. She is selfless, caring and nurturing teacher and her troupes success is a validation to her teaching ability.
Rozana is an inspiration in dance and if the body says what words cannot than Rozana is a true and masterful storyteller.
Rozana........thanks for sharing the gift of your dance and the gift of you!!

Sometimes in life you come across a person that just makes your world that much more brighter and beautiful. Rozana is this person for me.
She is a dedicated friend with the insight of an old soul. She allows her friends to be human and she doesn't judge them.
In other words she sees my Medusa days and helps me laugh at myself. Her sense of humor is so contageous that once you are around her , the world because not just a better place but a refuge where laughter is an everyday occurance.
Rozana is a breath of fresh air and she in moments that you need her, is willing to be the wings beneath your feet to help you remember yourself and your path.
She is one of the most talented dancers and choreographers in our business today. Once you've seen her shows, she is unforgettable.
Rozana isn't just a rising star anymore.....she has risen into one of the most prolific choreographers and dancers of our time and I am so lucky to call her my friend.

Cleo's Challenge
In March 2006 I worked in collaboration with two lovely and talented women to produce Cleopatra’s Court-A Dance Gala. It was a defining moment in my career. I am so excited about a project that I'm working on with Leyla Najma and Amaya of NM. It's happening in September of 2008 at the Hispanic Culture Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Belly Dancing is my profession. I am an accomplished and award winning choreographer but I never choreograph solo work. I teach weekly classes and manage two troupes, one of which is my student troupe. I find my enjoyment in accomplishment and my family.
