<div>My wonderful Auntie Myrtle has just gone 70. At ASDA they can put photos on birthday cakes.
They refused to do this picture. When asked why - they said they didn't do pornographic, offensive or nude photos.
I pointed out that this was not nude or pornographic. So it must be offensive. I then said that the only offensive thing was her smoking and the carbon emitting car.
He still refused and said she was showing too much flesh.
I put a written complaint in and was told that they sometimes don't print pictures due to copywright laws!
A 40 year old black n white picture taken by my dad?!
So - I'll never shop at ASDA again - load of jobsworths!!!</div>

										<div>The wonderful artist Beryl Cook died earlier this year. Her funny larger than life characters and wonderful art style has been a great inspiration to me.
With the theme of 'Water' for the SAA magazine, I wanted to paint a large lady in my cartoon style as a tribute to her!!!
Here it is!

    </a>
										<div>..Bonnie Ray Hadley
born 12th May 5 pm 6lb
Totally gorgous little girl, strong as an ox with big feet and hands!
Home birth was wonderful - had my music on - ACDC, Motorhead etc - all good relaxing stuff. Oil burner on, very chilled out.
Can really recommend home births.
Unfortunately, placenta stuck again and had to go to hospital in ambulance. Lost loads of blood - was almost having to have a transfusion. Had to have an epidural after hours of having extremely painful contractions to get rid of placenta. The community midwifes were brilliant.
Hospital was very busy and I didn't get fed any extra even though I was starving after all that!
Lost mobile phone credit so couldn't text Phil to bring in food!!!!!!!!
Then they lost my blood sample so had to stop in hours longer to do another!
Anyway, after all that - Bonnie is doing brilliantly and I love being a mum for a second time!</div>

										<div>As you know, I'm overdue a full week now but at least it's given me time to work on a new website to sell my artwork - so not all bad eh?!
Go to www.rozebelly.co.uk

I just need my husband to add the links (he's building a wall in the garden at the moment - man nesting!) and then it's all done.

										<div>Yipeee - I've just received 2 books for having this artwork published in the SAA magazine (Society for all Artists). It was the SAA challenge which meant working for only half an hour each day and then stopping when the alarm went.
This piece took 9 sessions. Originally called ~Tribal Travel, I've now changed it to Tunisian Hip Twist.
I wonder if any of the artists who read SAA will take up tribal now?!

										<div>.........look after unwanted dogs and help them find new homes however old they are. None are put to sleep.
I'm still really missing my lovely dog D'fer who died of old age in July 06. I'm currently working on my husband for us to have another dog. As soon as 'peanut' is born, I and in a routine, I hope to have another dog.
So, being as I LOVE dogs and the day of LOVE is approaching (Feb 14th!!!) I've designed a new card entitled LOVE.
I LOVE Gustav Klimt's work and used this as an inspiration for this piece.
The cards will be the usual price - £1.20 + P &amp; P
I shall be bringing these and afew other cards to Tribal London so if you would like some please just grab me and say summat like '"Rozie, Rozie sell us a card and let me buy you a pint aswell"!!!!!!! I haven't a stall but will be watchin the open stage all day Saturday except when we're (Khalgani) are performing in the early afternoon.

Well, I thought I'd forward this information to you incase you'd like to watch the series on BBC 1.
Thanks for buying cards and artwork and supporting these great causes.

The five part series will be shown on BBC1 at 7.30pm on the following dates:

Programme 4    -    Monday 14th January

We hope you are able to watch the series and to learn even more about our efforts to protect Kenya's wildlife, which is only possible thanks to your continued support. We would also urge you to forward this email to friends and family, so that they too can have the opportunity to enjoy this BBC Natural History Unit production and gain an insight into our work with the orphans. Further details about Elephant Diaries can be found at: http://www.elephantdiaries.org where you can also see behind the scenes photographs, make a donation to support our efforts and order items from our shop.

Elephant Diaries - Series 1, DVD to be released on Monday 14th January 2008
We have just found out that the release of Series 1 on DVD has now been brought forward to 14th January - so the wait is finally over! If you would like to order the DVD of Series 1 we would urge you to do so from our specially created Elephant Diaries website: http://www.elephantdiaries.org

You will be able to place orders on the website from Monday 7th January and please be aware that only orders placed for this DVD with The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust will generate funds to help care for the orphans featured in the series itself! So we encourage you to please place your order with us and not other retailers, so that we can continue to rescue and hand-rear orphaned elephants and rhinos so that they may return to the wild when grown.

A big thank you to everyone who brought one, (and Sara who brought loads) and a really big thank you to Melo (from Pedaltra) who sold loads for me - and sold cards too.
The cards and calendars have sold all over the world so I'm really pleased with that!!!!
The cards raised £115 for the children's charity 'Promise Dreams'.
I sold some of my other cards too (thank you Tribal Fit who were very generous) and have some in 'the pot' ready for the next wildlife charity.
I'm designing a new card for Tribal London so watch this space.

										<div>It's been a great year for dance for me - loads of wonderful workshops and events, met loads of new people - some I'm happy to call my friends now (I dunno what they think of that though)!
My art work has raised loads this Christmas - need to check my books (Melo knows how complicated they are!) to see how many cards were sold, and I think all the calendars have been sold too - but will update on that one later.
Am half way through learning Swahilli and decided to give Leoni a brother or sister and within 3 months was pregnant!!!!
So all in all not bad. Husband a wee bit on the difficult side at the mo (saw New Year in on my own) but I suppose my hormones don't make me the easiest person to live with either!
Happy New Year everyone and hope to see you at an event sometime!

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/roze-belly/blog/9abf022b-1c79-4e10-be49-a675ed4fdbda">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/10f/5c8/10f5c8a5-4eca-49a1-97e7-2eca4f6dca5a.thumb" width="65" height="45" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>
All calendars are sold in aid of the World Land Trust which is a charity that works to save tropical forests and wildlife. They play an active role in the bid to slow global warming which effects us all. And of course, Sir David Attenborough (one of my heros) is a patron.
See www.worldlandtrust.org for more details.

The calendars are A4 and have a piece of tribal artwork for each month. (These could be framed at a later date).
The artwork has been printed from original oil, acrylic and pastel pieces. There are some previously unpublished work included.

The cost - £7.50 each (+p&amp;p)
Postage/Paypal
UK
1 = £7.50 + 80p Total = £8.30
5 = £37.50 + £2.70 Total = £40.20

USA
1 = £7.50 + £2.90 Total = £10.40 (approx $20.80)
5 = £37.50 + £ 10.50 Total = £48.50 (approx $97)

In an attempt to cut down on postage/paypal charges I've listed the cost to buy 5 at a time. If you would like a different amount, please let me know and I'll find out the cost for you.
If you are from another country, drop me a message and I'll find out the postage cost for you too.
If you pay by cheque, I should be able to reduce the price alittle.

(Also, I have some new Christmas designs ready in about a weeks time. I can post them all together for you to save postage charges. I have afew Christmas cards from last year - see my photos area. Christmas cards go to children's charities).

Please message me for any further information.

										<div>Too right they are. Awesome set last night in Brum (UK).
Lemmy is so cool - I love him!!!
Alice Cooper was brilliant too - what a set. A fantastic night, which I'm really pleased about because I was gutted to miss Rashani in Brum, especially to see young Melo's debut!
So, next time girls, please come over again but make sure Lemmy et al aren't playing the same night!

If you go to the following link and look in the Christmas pics folder (yes I know I've spelt it wrong on there)! you will see some pictures from the calendar and all the new cards and Christmas cards from last year. </a>
										<div>Just got back from having my first scan! Yep, I'm nearly 14 weeks pregnant! I know many would blanch at the idea of having children, but I love it especially at my age!
It's been a well knackering 3 months though. In September, we did a half hour set at Artsfest, then a 2 hour Uzume workshop. I then dashed back to get Leoni (first born in the pic)! and then took her to the show where we performed twice - well, I was shattered!
I found out the evening of Geneva's workshop in Brum and was so excited, I did another of her workshops in Shrewsbury the next evening!!!
I intend to keep dancing throughout the pregnancy and continue with my mission to save all the animals on the planet (except wasps)!
Speaking of which - going to see WASP at JB's tonight so better get my horns and studded bra sorted out!
Happy Halloween from a proud, preggy fat bird!</div>

    </a>
										<div>Am knackered after doin 2 Geneva workshops in 2 days! Great workshops - catered for all abilities but made you push yourself. Lot's of recap so you got to remember what you'd actually learned. And, lots of stretches as you went along so that you don't ache the next day!!
Thanks Geneva.
Now, here's a lovely pic of Tinribs's kittens. I have four fluffy bundles of joy that need a home. Anyone interested?!
I'm workin on Phil to let me keep Tinribs.
The vet was pleased with her health and the kittens are doin fine.
Have been busy in Cornwall. Campin in a teeppee, surfing on 'sit on tops', saw the Scarlett Pimpernell at the Minack theatre (open theatre cut into the cornish coast line - sea as the backdrop) - that was awesome.
Visited the bird of prey centre - great stuff too!
Better go and sort out the new babies now!

Anyway 'Tinribs' as she is affectionately called has big teets and I think she may be up the duff.
So, if anyone is thinking of having a kitten in about 10 weeks time, let me know!
I've gotta pack for camping in Cornwall now. Hope Tinribs waits for me!!!!!
