Hi everyone,
Here's a friendly note about my upcoming early summer schedule.
I'll be playing with three bands - I'm still a permanent member of Open Space Project and Dave Stein Bubhub and will sit in with Five-Eyed Hand when my schedule allows (so the one show listed here probably won't be the only time I play with them this summer). See the URLs below for a description of the bands and for information about any of the shows listed... Or just contact me directly!
*Dave Stein Bubhub: www.myspace.com/davesteinbubhub (groove-driven funk rock)
*Open Space Project: www.myspace.com/openspaceproject (psychedelic jam-rock mayhem)
*Five-Eyed Hand: www.myspace.com/fiveeyedhand (psychedelic rock with a jazz roots approach)
As always, I'd love to see any of you at any of these shows and feel free to pass this on to anyone else...
--------------------------
May 12: Open Space Project: Santa Cruz Saturday Market at San Lorenzo Park in downtown Santa Cruz. Free, noon. (OSP opens the show at noon, followed by a short Jerry Brown acoustic set, and then the Matt Hartle Band. Family friendly!)
May 17: Open Space Project: Henfling's Tavern in Ben Lomond. Free, 8PM sharp! (Come out early if you're going to Hot Buttered Rum at Don Quixote's!)
May 18: Dave Stein Bubhub: Gordon Biersch in downtown San Jose. Free, 9PM. Family friendly!
June 2: Five-Eyed Hand: Jerry Garcia Amphitheater at McLaren Park in San Francisco. Free, noon. (I'm not sure when we'll be playing. Other bands on the bill include Left Coasting, West County Outlaws, Lost Ticket, Reefer Canyon, and William Mylar Band. Family friendly!)
June 15: Open Space Project: Apple Jack's in La Honda. Free, 9.30PM.
June 27: Dave Stein Bubhub: Jupiter Brewing Co. in Berkeley. Free, 7PM. Family friendly!
June 28: Dave Stein Bubhub: Gordon Biersch in downtown San Jose. Free, 8.30PM. Family friendly!
June 30: Dave Stein Bubhub: Fernwood Resort in Big Sur. Free, 9.30PM. (If you haven't been here before, it's a fantastic venue in the heart of Big Sur - camping (or motel rooms) on the Big Sur River, hiking trails, easy access to Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, etc. There will be a big group of us there that weekend with a camp site so please feel welcome to join us! www.fernwoodbigsur.com)
July 7: Dave Stein Bubhub: Henfling's Tavern in Ben Lomond. $5, 9.30PM.
July 26: Dave Stein Bubhub: Henfling's Tavern in Ben Lomond. Free, 8PM.
July 27: Open Space Project: PhiJa Fest at Casa No Casa outside Felton. Free. (This is a big wacky party/festival out in the woods. OSP will play all evening/night on Friday and there will be several acts performing all day Saturday and throughout the night including Derek Bodkin, Howdy!, and Seconds on End. Let me know if you're interested in attending and I will give you directions/information.)
August 3: Open Space Project: Grant & Green in San Francisco (north beach). Free, 9PM. (Flip Squad will open the show, followed by OSP.)
--------------------------
That's all that's booked for now! I hope y'all can make it out to one or more of these... If not, no worries - hopefully I will see you somewheres else soon!
