Rebecca gives good blog!

Rebecca tells me that even though she is gorgeous, amongst her friends, who are mainly Californian actresses, she is just average gorgeous. The concept of a woman being size 6, beautiful, and average gorgeous appeals to me enormously. It is like meeting a friend of Einstein, who is a Professor of Quantum Mechanics at 25 years of age, at UCLA, who when you say he is brilliant, he replies, compared to Einstein I am very much just average brilliant. I recently asked Rebecca why she is not passionately in love with me. She replied it is because I only recently heard your voice. I then said, is my voice sexy. She replied, in her usual blunt way, no, it is not, but I like the way you string words together. I dared not ask whether stringing words together well is a good basis for love, as I feared she might say, yes, it is, if you are after average love, but I am after much more.

Private Epiphanies

In case you were wondering: Don Quixote is alive and well and living in Korea Town, Los Angeles.

A few weeks ago, during a brief break. My friend and I decided to take a walk over to the local panaderia to get some breakfast. (A complete and utter bargain, by the way. You can totally stuff your face for under $3.)

On the way back, as we were waiting to cross 8th street where it intersects with Vermont, we were approached by a tall, lanky man wearing a beat up Cowboy hat. Now he may ... read more

Yesterday, after working 10 days in a row, I had a few hours that I could spend - just being – in my house. I love my house, and those of you who have been there know why. It’s got a great vibe. But also, as I was re-noticing the contents of my home, it dawned on me that most of my possessions were given to me.

The majority of the objects surrounding me are gifts! Some from friends, some from relations, some from the living, some from those who are no longer with us. So many blessings ... read more

Rules: I tell you who tagged me and then I tell you 8 weird, factual, quirky things about me in a public blog, then I tag 6 more people to do the same. No tag backs.

I was tagged by ninjin.

1. I'm really handy. In fact I'm currently installing ceiling fans in my house. 2 down, 2 to go!

2. I will not ask for help unless I absolutely need it. This really annoys my friend Jim, but I think he's gotten used to it by now. So if I ever ask you for help, know that it's important!

This is the artwork they came up with for their program cover. The piece is a short play we developed together during an 8 week class entitled "improvisation to writing."

I went to gay bar in Silver Lake recently. Yes, by myself! I was meeting some friends, but I was early – an hour early (we thought it was going to get crowded and I volunteered to be the official seat saver.) So I just ordered a drink, sat down and started to enjoy the entertainment provided by a very talented pianist. I was neither concerned nor self-conscious about the fact that I was alone when something most interesting happened: A man I had never met before bought me a drink. I thou... read more
