Dude, I think I'm gonna blog.

This morning. Golden Gate Park. Three-Way Stop.

A line of autos and bicycles in all three directions. All of us taking (including the cyclists - how nice) turns as per right-of-way law.

Except two cyclists who felt that they were exempt from those laws, who never stopped.

If not for the fact that Mrs. Porter was looking to my left while I was looking to my right, and squeaked, I'd have had two cyclists embedded in my driver-side door.

I slammed to a stop, and they just kept on rid... read more

And there won't be if everybody who was previously on Tribe keeps saying that.

Post. Blog. Start a conversation on a group.

Or if not, try to make the FB groups more interesting by participating in them.

The format is worth patronizing and saving.

Or unsubscribe. Commit to your abandonment.

Why do you want to be on the gate list?

It has to be because you're either broke, cheap, have no conception of what it is we're about or are simply trying to take advantage of me.

If it's any of the above - don't do it again.

I'm putting on a show, not facilitating your social life.

Re: Hey, snobs... (in Dickens Fair History Snobs) Collars on men that are high enough - and not just modern collars stood up. They're not cut right.

Re: Hey, snobs... (in Dickens Fair History Snobs) Worth looking into, but I suspect they have good reasons for the way it is. Contrast between indoors and outdoors might be interesting.

Re: NCRF (in Ren Faire History Snobs) "has there ever been any Renaissance Faire that fulfills all the expectations of historically correct and theatrically entertaining event?"

None that I've ever seen. Not to my satisfaction, anyway. Other opinions may vary on that.

Re: Hey, snobs... (in Dickens Fair History Snobs) The gap prevention preferably being remedied by the pants being cut high enough, not having the waistcoat cut longer.

Hey, snobs... (in Dickens Fair History Snobs) Now that we're swinging into Dickens season, here's a question:

Folks do what they can with the resources they've got, and there's a whole lot of fine costuming at the fair, but much of it still doesn't ring true enough to me. Sort of cobbled t... read more

Re: Photos of Lower Classes - Vests (in What to wear to the Dickens fair!) Don't know that I'd go with photos of vests from the fair, as they vary widely in authenticity. You'll want something with a collar and cut straight across the bottom. Be sure that the waistline of the trousers are up above the waistline of the ve... read more

Re: In this IN-sane? (in Sane Politics) Being in there at all is insane, as is the idea of any sort of victory.

My Testimonials

February 7, 2007
On this day in recent history -

Rydell reaffirms his state of Rule,

Seventh February, Two Thousand and Seven, A.B.

Rydell should really learn to form an opinion. He really sticks the shadows as everyone else shares the limelight. What's up with that Rydell?

Seriously, Rydell keeps us all on our toes. Even when he doesn't realize he's doing it. Erudite and quickwitted he is an assett to our community. Plus he has the most beautiful eyesbrows I've ever seen on a man. Just beautiful.

Give 'em hell, Rydell !!

I admired Rydell for his style, grace and acting ability for years before I actually got to know him. When we did finally get to know each other after I joined the Other Books cast at Dickens, he made me feel like we'd been friends for years and treated me like an important member of the team even though I was a new kid. His talent as a performer and director never cease to inspire me, yet he is so unassuming. If I wasn't already older than he is, I could honestly say that I'd like to grow up to be like Rydell.

A very talented actor as we all know...and very handsome and evil....I like evil....Hansome,evil men make me smile! Thanks for the smile!
