Blue States/ Red States

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/saakimba/blog/d3231b15-b5c8-4fc3-b69d-b65a20ae0af7">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/bdc/fa8/bdcfa888-cfe1-4273-826c-e1303903b5bd.thumb" width="65" height="44" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>Dear Red States:

If you manage to steal this election too we've decided we're leaving.
We intend to form our own country, and we're taking the other Blue
States with us. In case you aren't aware, that includes California,
Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois
and all the Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially to the people of the new country of New California.

To sum up briefly:

You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states. We get stem cell research and the best beaches. We get the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood. We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom. We get Harvard.You get Ole' Miss.
We get 85% of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get Alabama.

We get two-thirds of the tax revenue, you get to make the red states pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22% lower than the Christian Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families.You get a bunch of single moms.

Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and anti-war,and we're going to want all our citizens back from Iraq at once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have kids they're apparently willing to send to their deaths or no purpose, and they don't care if you don't show pictures of
their children's caskets coming home. We do wish you success in Iraq , and hope that the WMDs turn up, but we're not willing to spend our resources in Bush's Quagmire.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80% of the
country's fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92%
of the nation's fresh fruit, 95% of America's quality wines, 90% of
all cheese, 90% of the high tech industry, 95% of the corn and
soybeans (thanks Iowa!), most of the U.S. low-sulfur coal, all living
redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT.

With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88% of all obese Americans (and their projected healthcare costs), 92% of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100% of the tornadoes, 90% of the hurricanes, 99% of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University,Clemson and the University of Georgia. We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

Additionally, 38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we're
discussing the war, the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that
evolution is only a theory, 53% believe that Saddamwas involved in 9/11 and 61% of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties. Finally, we're taking the good pot, too. You can have that dirt weed they grow in Mexico

Peace out,
Blue States

										<div>Hey!! Do any of you PNW beauties out there have a killer corset I could buy or borrow or something? I am, believe it or not, going to the Grammys in February and want to look hot, hot, hot for the event. I'm thinking that a beautiful corset is just the ticket.... But I need it by Feb. 4th and I don't think I have the time (or the $) to have a custom one made by then. But I know that there are so many of you lingerie loving gorgeous girls out there, that perhaps one of you has exactly what I need!! Thanking you in advance, muah!!

										<div>Well, ok then!! There it is. There you have it!! Official like. What yer lookin' at here is the official boarding ticket to phase next of the grand game plan. Now I just need to find me some work and it's off to the pretty Bay I go. Yikes!!!

Now... I just have to decide.... do I do it slow and transitiony like? Take a short term contract and go poking around for a bit before pulling up all the roots? Or, do I do it full bore... lock, stock &amp; barrel and get everyone (well, me and my 10 year old) and everything packed, shipped and set up right away? Eeek!! It's a little bit intimidating!!

But...  also really exciting.....!</div>

										<div>How very, very strange..... here I am laying in my tent at Burningman and, Voila!! There's fricken' wireless internet on the playa (high speed, no less....) I couldn't resist writing a hello. I heard a rumor that it will be on until Sunday night only, we'll see. Big, whiteout dust storm upon my arrival, now (at 2:20 a.m.) nice and balmy and mellow. Station 9 camp seems to be coming together and I'm already seeing many of the lovely people that make coming here so worthwhile.

Ok kids!! Have fun!! I know I'm planning on it..... ;-)

    </a>
										<div>Oh migod, it has crashingly, convincingly, completely arrived........ The man burneth in less than two weeks. This year is, ahem, is being a bit more of an effort on my part, as I (completely on my own, nobody made me do it!) decided to organize our camp and institute a kitchen/meal program, in addition to taking on being a medical supervisor this year for the first time.... I figured we'd have about 40 campers and about 27-30 eaters....haha!!! Jokes on me, LOL!! at 65 campers and 50 + meal-dealers I had to shout "Uncle!" and put a cap on it. But, my little secret? It's been FUN doing all this camp organizing!! Fun talking to all the excited newbies, jaded (but still excited) oldbies, figuring out how to (most likely) make it all come together, shopping for camp supplies, etc, etc, etc. It's been a blast.... Now, just wish me luck that it all turns out well!! ;-)

    </a>
										<div>So, though it's late to the table, I just learned that one of my favorite tribe friends of all time died a week ago yesterday, unexpectedly of a seizure. This news has been kicking my ass all night long... The Irascible F*ckerpants!! This man was brilliant, talented, funny and cool as fuck. And a wicked, wicked writer. We met a couple of times in person, once when I suddenly realized he was my waiter at Tutta Bella and then when he borrowed a beard and jumped on the Santa train at SantaCon '06 and we snuck around together having secret conversations. We talked lot's about what might happen if he ever went to jail (he kept saying he might, but he never did...), 'cause I work there. I always promised him I'd give him an extra sack lunch.....

The world is sorrier now that FP is gone.. I know that I am. He was a real shiny little penny. And the best indin ever, s'far as I can tell.... Bye FP!! Love you schritz &amp; bizzles!! I got that sack lunch waiting......

    </a>
										<div>I just spent five days in San Francisco last week.... I had a FABULOUS time. I l o v e that city. In just five short days, the following things happened:

I hung out with a Klown.

I had a russion bus driver be really mean to me and got snarky right back.

I met very awesome new friends in the #1 hostel in SF http://www.pactradewinds.com/ ($22 bucks a night and more fun than you can ever have imagined....)

I saw many very creepy and weird antique coin-op machines, which work... much to my delight.

I spent a lovely afternoon in an incredible semi-european style cathedral with lovely artwork and stained glass while two women played profound non-church type music on the gihouzical pipe organ and a clarinet. Amazing.

I saw much beautiful, classical styley architecture (the kind I like...).

I had a creepy, geriatric hippy standing in a dark doorway, in tie-dye, say to me, "Hey sister! Iko Iko!"

I had most enchanting evening of scintillating conversation with a VERY cute british boy.

I saw unexpectedly, on the same night, not one but TWO people I know from Eugene, OR in two different venues, one of whom I've known since she was a little girl... :-)

I saw feather pasted titties (hee hee!!)

I danced in a cage

I saw many friends who are not San Franciscanites, yet who either live there now or happen to be visiting.... two of my favorite ones got drunky and missed their BART and had to crash at "my" hostel

Francis Ford Copolla walked mere inches past me as he entered his restuarant in N. Beach where I was eating... (Or so I am told... the fellow diner who witnessed said event was playing it SOOOOO cool that he didn't bother mentioning until after we left.... :-/

I climbed Coit tower and found some fellow vagabonds on top.

I played frisbee.

I enjoyed the best cappucinos ever and the autentico Cafe' Trieste, daily.

I lost my cell phone and found it two to three hours later (after climbing the Coit Tower) at the above cafe, in the garbage of the ladies bathroom.

I walked and walked and walked.

I saw a real whirling dervish, whirling, with a fire skirt.

I saw Joseph.

I met a Scotsman, several brits, a "plastic paddy", an aussie, a czech, a german girl, a kiwi, a young japanese guy and a lovely young parisian named Aurora who made a point of, while she was here, eating at mcdonalds every day.

I went to Baker Beach.

I had really marvelous time. I think I am moving.....</div>
