It has been a very long time since I locked my journal down. My reasons at the time were good ones; my reasons for keeping this a private journal are better ones. I've had a few stalkers, I've had people stalking my friends through me - it's all a little more drama than I need in my life.



I am a part-time field EMT, full time nursing student, full time wife and mom, and independently owned by the Burning Man Project. This does not leave me with a lot of free time. This journal exists for me to vent, to process, and to share my life with the people I care about. In the last five years it has become a valuable tool for keeping in touch with some of the people I love, a difficult thing when they are spread out around the globe.



If you are adding me just for the sake of adding a new person, be aware that I very rarely post things publicly, and am not interested in growing my friends list just for vanity. If you are someone that I actually know, please comment on this entry and explain why you would like to be added to my friends list. I have made exceptions; there are two people on my list that I have never personally met, but know only through other friends, and I have come to value both of their opinions greatly.



Oh, and I periodically prune my friends list of people who seem to have dropped off of livejournal. If I have removed you, and you're actually still here but quiet, please let me know that too and I will of course put you back! And, er, if at sometime in the past I removed you because you posted too much, and you still want to be my friend, tell me that too. :) I'm better at just skipping over entries I don't have time to read than I used to be!

I'm terza rima, and I talk and smile. Where others lock their rhymes and thoughts away I let mine out, and chatter all the while. I'm rarely on my own - a wasted day Is any day that's spent without a friend, With nothing much to do or hear or say. I like to be with people, and depend On company for being entertained; Which seems a good solution, in the end.

ok, ok, I give up. Since I've been reading a few of my friend's livejournals on a regular basis, I give in. I dunno if I'll actually remember to write anything... my other on-line journal tends to get an entry every three months or so. We'll see :)
