Known for his mastery of physical yogas (nadi-vayu-yantra & candalini-yoga).
He was a key figure in the transmission of several Yogini-Tantra lineages (Chakrasamvara & Hevajra) as well as the Yoga of Clear Light (prabhasvara-yoga).
He was the Guru of a famous mahasiddha, poet, and scholar named Kanhapa. Jalandharipa was well known for his expertise in the use of entheogenic drugs such as datura and cannabis.
He is believed to have lived in the late 8th or early 9th century
