This woman is a revelation in bellydance. Every time I see her perform or attend her class, some hidden truth about bellydance is revealed to me. She teaches people through her attention to detail, her passion for dance, and her openess to new ideas. Her technique is jaw-dropping, and her stage presence is so inviting, audiences just can't take their eyes of her.
But beware. She's really a double threat.
Sahira is a phenomenal dancer AND a fantastic human being. She is generous and nuturing, just and decisive, honest and hilarious. I'm thankful for my good fortune in being her friend.
Not many people are the real deal, the complete package, the genuine article. Sahira is.

Sahira is a truly incredible dancer, performer, entertainer, teacher, and all around down to earth and great fun! At the Sultanas 2008 Hafla, she treated us to two fabulous sets,a mesmerizing and fun Tribal Fusion and an amazingly beautiful and riveting Cabaret performance. The next day’s sold out workshop proved to be as mind blowing as her performances! It was challenging, fun, and gave attendees at various levels diverse moves to stretch the brain and the body! Sahira was exceptionally clear, knowledgeable and proficient teacher; as well as an all around fun guest to those of us who had the pleasure of spending extra time with her. Along with her incredible dancing, she’s a smart, classy, stunningly beautiful, warm, humble, and so “not a diva!!!” Well, she has many traits of a diva - except attitude! If you're lucky enough to get an opportunity to see her perform, or take a workshop from her - totally jump at the chance! She's truly an asset to the belly dance community - and has so much to offer!

We had Sahira here in WA state over the weekend for our hafla. I found her to be sweet, funny, and one heck of a wonderful dancer and teacher! Even though I could not stay for the whole class she did, I really learned a lot from her on how to move and how to dance. She really made us enjoy the class, and I do hope to encounter her again.
Folks, ask this lady to dance for you and teach you! You will not regret it, and you will enjoy getting to know her off the dance floor too!

We Sultanas just had the most amazing weekend here with Sahira as the guest performer and workshop provider for our annual Hafla. Smart, funny, beautiful, talented, gracious and humble are all rolled up in this wonderful package.
Her dancing was beautiful and the workshop just about kicked our butts without being so challenging we couldn't keep up. I can hardly wait to incorporate some of the things I learned into dancing!
Don't ever miss an opportunity to see Sahira dance or to learn from her!

Sahira's workshop was so innovative and she broke each and every move down so that everyone from the beginners to the advanced dancers were able to understand it and perform it! Watching her perform in person is utterly amazing. The energy and enthusiasm combined with the unique performances and incredible stage presence was entertaining and inspiring. A wonderful instructor and performer.
