The hospital wants to discharge my Mom in a week. So my sister, brother and I put her in a rehab center so that she could have more time to recover before going home, living alone. I, of course will be assisting her for a while, but still, she needs to learn how to dress herself and go to the bathroom, etc. So we got her in a place that is run by the hospital, thinking it would be ran well. Her physical therapist evaluated her and said she was going to give her a week. I was speechless, but o...

and the roles we play. My mom did it again. She fell and fractured her C2, that is in the neck. They put a halo on her today. It's this big frankinstein looking contraption on her head and shoulders to keep her neck straight. She is going to have to stop her chemo treatments while she heals. The doctors found blood on the brain, said if the bleeding hadn't stopped, she would not be with us, since she just went to bed and didn't tell anyone (she lives alone).
