We're going to be performing together for the first time tomorrow at the Friday night Shimmy South show and I'm SO EXCITED!

Here are the NEW Spring Class Session Dates for 2008!
Saturday March 8, 15, 22 ~ April 5, 12, 19
at the Triangle Dance Studio in Durham

All levels, styles, ages, body types and genders welcome.
Choose one class style, or take both!

CORE - 10AM to 11:20AM - Explore the core vocabulary of
Improvisational Tribal Style (ITS) dance. Learn how to access your core muscles. Create a solid core for your own explorations in tribal fusion bellydance.

FLOW - 11:40AM to 1PM - Exploring Music and Musicality
Learn to identify traditional Middle Eastern, North African and Central Asian rhythms, instruments, and melodies. Play with different ways to listen to music. Develop skills that will help you translate your music through choreography and improv.

One class $14 ~ Two classes $24 ~ Six-class pass $60

ABOUT SARA B. - Sara has been studying tribal style bellydance since 2002 and performing nearly as long. Currently, she performs as a member of Blue Moon Dance Company, The Devoted Bellydance Collective, and as a soloist. In addition to performing and teaching tribal fusion and group improv, she is a student and passionate
enthusiast of raqs sharqi ("cabaret") style bellydance. Sara is committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere in her classes and in the dance community as a whole, while still challenging her students to refine their technique and their understanding of the dance.

I love it too!!!
And I can't wait to perform with the class!! I have been practicing for the last 2 weeks!

I highly recommend the class to anyone interested in learning some tribal moves & improv. Sara's instruction is detailed, so you know where your hands, feet, & the rest of you needs to move. I drive over an hour to get to the class every week - it's worth it!

I'm so glad your classes have been a success...I look forward to getting back into the swing of things...and maybe, before I go back to Oz, I can join everyone in performing, too...

Sara your the best!! I love your class and I'm excited to perform.I hope we can make you proud!! I've been practicing , however I hope I don't space.Oh well, It's all about getting out of my comfort zone and the Drag!!!!!!
