This will be an evening of mysterious bellydance. You may get to see a little bit of gypsy, tribal, cabaret, cowboy, experimental, romantic, gothic. We will be bringing the joy, the pain, the light &amp; the dark.

We don't know what the future holds. There may be no future.

So, let's dance!

1st set at 7pm. 2nd set at 8pm. THEN, please join us in dance revelry!

This is an experiment &amp; if the people want it, we will keep on bringing it. The 3rd Sunday of every month. Set times stay the same.

One other thing that stays the same....on Doomsday at the Cabaret, we WILL be dancing. We hope you join us.</div>

<div>Hi everyone! It's time for a new class session again, hooray!
Please feel free to email me at skbeaman at yahoo dot com if you have any questions or would like some more info! My website, http://www.sarabeaman.com , will be updated soon to reflect this information.
Thank you for reading! Happy dancing!!

A Quick Summary of Dates and Times:
July 5 - 10am to 1pm - Creating Your Practice Workshop - Layering
July 26 - CORE 10am, FLOW 11:40am
July 26 - 2 to 5 pm - Blue Moon Costuming Workshop - Tassels, Yarn Fringe, Belt Construction and More! (Yes, this is the same date as class, but it's a sit-down type of workshop.)
August 2, 16, 23, and 30 - CORE 10am, FLOW 11:40am

July 5: Creating Your Practice - Layering - 10am to 1pm - Triangle Dance Studio, Durham (same location as normal classes)

This workshop is designed to help dedicated students create a comprehensive home practice regimen designed to conquer the art of layering. We will explore fun and dynamic movement drills, different types and flavors of isolations and shimmies, and tips for how to
start layering different movements successfully. Most importantly, we will talk about how to develop a practice that is at once fun, interesting, and appropriate for your lifestyle, as well as how to adapt your practice as your abilities expand. Come ready to SHAKE IT. Bring water and snacks, if necessary. The fee for this workshop is $35 cash/check at the door, or 3 credits on a 6-class pass card (which are available for $60 and are applicable to all of my classes at Triangle Dance Studio). Drop-ins only- as with class there is no preregistration system but you can RSVP by email if you would like.

July 26 - Blue Moon Costuming Workshop - Tassels, Yarn Fringe, Belt Construction and More! - Cary - 2 to 5 pm (Yes, this is the same date as class, but it's a sit-down type of workshop.)

Get hands-on practice, personal attention and assistance from 3 experienced costumers, and lots of practical ideas on how to create all sorts of belts for ATS and Tribal Fusion performance. Some materials will be provided. Due to space limitations, you MUST pre-register for this workshop. More info is available at http://www.bluemoonbellydance.com/classes.html .
If you are interested in coming you should SIGN UP NOW! We are running out of space and we can only accommodate a limited number of people.

July 26 and August 2, 16, 23, and 30 - CORE 10am, FLOW 11:40am - Triangle Dance Studio, Durham

CORE ~ Tribal Group Improv
The core of CORE is group improv. We'll learn both basic moves and fun variations from the ATS/Tribal Fusion dance vocabulary along with their cues, and practice performing these moves in a group using different formations and leader transitions. The format of
this class allows for lots of individual feedback and is great for both complete beginners and continuing students who want advice on how to tweak their Tribal to perfection.

FLOW ~ Skirts n' Spins: Fusion Technique and Combos
Since I can't (or won't) do an entire class on spins without
providing puke bags, this class will have the dual focus of
mastering both spins and skirtwork-- as anyone with a 10+ yard skirt knows, the two go really well together. We will learn skirt combinations for both fast and slow music, discuss the merits of different types of skirts for skirtwork, and investigate the history and origin of skirt dancing. We will also learn different types of spins, how to cultivate the ability to do multiple consecutive spins, how to spin on beat so as to match the other dancers in your group, and how to use your skirt to make even a basic spin look really cool. Please bring a skirt that measures 10 or more yards at the hem if you have one at home. A limited number of skirts will be available to borrow, and I might be able to bring some in for purchase as well. You can contact me by email if you want to know where you can buy a skirt appropriate for this class.

Once again, please contact me with any questions or concerns! Thank you for reading!

<div>GET THE SARA BEAMAN EXPERIENCE. The only classes in the Triangle taught by a friendly, coffee-crazed bellydance technique and history geek who moonlights as both a faux hobo (a fauxbo if you will) and a faux robot (or fauxbot).

Saturday Morning Classes at Triangle Dance Studio in Durham
May 10, 17, 24, June 7 and 21

10AM - CORE - Dynamic Group Improv Skills with Sara and Lynn, our TA for this session!
This session will focus on moves, short combos, formations and transitions for group improvisational dance. For the first time, this class will feature a teaching assistant, which will allow me to give everyone more individual feedback. (Hopefully you find this prospect exciting rather than intimidating-- I know I'm excited about it, at least!) This class is going to be a lot of fun and a great workout. Drop-ins welcome. (1 hour 20 minutes)

11:40AM - FLOW - Fusion Combos-into-Choreography
This choreography class will offer a chance for students in every stage of their bellydance development a chance to learn both a complete choreography and longer moves and combos that can be used elsewhere for both choreography and improv. While all students are welcome, you might feel more comfortable in this class if you already have at least 6 months of bellydance experience under your belt (hipscarf?). Drop-ins are welcome, but if you want to learn (and be able to perform) the entire choreography, you should try to make it to all 5 classes. (1 hour 20 minutes)

Class Rates: $14 for 1 class, $24 for both classes, or $60 for a 6-class pass. (Cash or check only please!)

Location information and class policies are available on my website: http://www.sarabeaman.com/classes.html .

Balanced Movement offers its own pass system, where you can purchase 6 or more classes at once at the rate of $10/class. (There are only 4 classes in this particular session, but you could use your remaining classes for a subsequent Language of Bellydance session.) Alternatively, the drop in rate is $12.
