Sara is one of my favorite dancers ever. She impresses me more and more with her grace and beauty every time I see her. I am so glad that I share some of her genetic material, in hopes that i can achieve some of her awesomeness. Sara you are the best sister in the entire world!

I wanted to let everyone know about my upcoming Saturday classes in Durham. This session, in Tribal CORE, we're going to be working on group formations and transitions for Tribal Group Improv. In Fusion FLOW, we'll be learning a tribal fusion drum solo style choreography. I will also be offering a new class for intermediate and advanced students, MEGA Challenge. Read on for details!

Starting on February 9, I will be temporarily taking over Suzanne's Language of Tribal Bellydance class on Monday nights at Balanced Movement Studio in Carrboro while Suzanne takes some time off to enjoy being a new mom. :) As I'm trying to stick to the spirit of Suzanne's previous classes, I'll be focusing on conditioning and drills for Tribal Fusion bellydance. At the beginning of this year I find myself in a peculiar state halfway between my Fibromyalgia brain fog and deep contemplation. I'm oscillating between clarity and haze. The last moments of 2008 gave me some space for introspection that I needed quite badly, and I feel like I'm on the verge of some sort of major change. 2008 was a weird year for me-- just as it was for many others, I'm sure.
